bang head help

Okay i need help deciding what to do I am having 4 girls in the wedding party 1 lives in another state and she already paid and received her dress(periwinkle) from the company... now i have 3 in state and it is my fault they did not order their dresses so they only have 2 dresses in stock that they can ship out that leaves me my maid of honor without a dress...

So should I order the dresses and get hers in a different color (navy)
Or should i reimburse the bridesmaid and tell her to go to such and such and get this dress (like a davids bridal and get a certain dress) or should i try to put them in four shades of blue starting with ice blue to navy

this is my dress

what should i do????

Your dress is beautiful!

I like both your ideas, and I think they would both look good. It's not so unusual to have your MOH in a different color than the other maids. But I kind of like the idea of doing different shades, from ice blue to navy blue. It's a little more original. Do you like all the colors that are available? Would that be something you could work with?

I guess it depends on your preference - like I said, both ideas would work.

It's up to you. Are you set on having everyone in the same color?

Personally- I'd prefer having them all in the same color, but maybe a different dress style for MOH.

Either way I think it'll be very nice though. And I love your dress!

It doesn't sound like you have other dresses picked out, so it would save everyone a lot of headache if you just put your MOH in a different color/style dress... I've heard of that being done quite often and I think it would look lovely!

Also, from what I hear about David's Bridal (if that's where you were gonna go), 4 months may be cutting it a little close to get the dresses in and altered in time... I've heard a lot of horror stories about the wrong dress/color being ordered from there, and having 4 different colors might confuse them even more

It all depends, if you want the MOH to stand out, then doing a navy dress would work really well I think. However, if you're not so keen on that idea, i'd maybe try and find her a dress that's close to the same color as the others BM's dresses, and just choose a different style. I'm letting all my BM's pick a different style, but all in the same color. But I think the MOH in a different color wouldn't be bad either.

scratching chin thank you!

thank you girls for helping me out! I think i will just put maid of honor in navy and order periwinkle for the others...

I tried getting the four different shades of blue but the four shades they have don't really look good together...

Yeah i heard everybody with horror stories about David's bridal i guess it just depends on the one you go to! My friend had her wedding last year and they ended up just cutting the bottom of the dress and the beautiful design

I'm not sure about navy... if you're not using navy anywhere else it may not tie in well (if you're incorporating that in the bouquets or something, that would help).

However, it's not uncommon for the MOH to wear a different shade (maybe an entirely different color) than the BM's. Maybe have her wear something a couple of shades from what the others are wearing? Or the same color, but different style.

I'm with you on in putting the MOH in a different color. I think it's going to look great to have the different shades of blue.

I personally would prefer the MOH to be in a different color/dress than the bm's to begin with, but thats just my opinion.
