I guess I should tell a little about Thomas and I and how we met.

We met at an engineering firm I used to work for about 2 years ago. We were both in relationships at the time. We started talking a lot and found out that went to school with his older brother. I'm 5 years older than Tom So fast forward about 9 months later my relationship that I had been if for 6 years was going no where. My ex didn't want marriage or children the 2 things I want the most. Tom had broken up with his girlfriend. Then we started talking and hanging out even more. After about 6 months of hanging out we moved in together. We did both move fast and it scared a lot of people since I had been in a previous relationship for so long but I just knew that Thomas was the one.

Tom always said that he wanted to give me the one thing me ex wouldn't which is a ring and marriage. A month before our 1 year anniversary we were getting ready to go out bowling and he had a pretty bag in his hand. This was 4 days before valentines. We walked out to the car and I could tell he was nervous and he was like nevermind lets stay home I said ok and we came back inside. He handed me the bag and said here open this happy valentines day a little early. I started opening it and there was a very sweet romantic card, and a box that is beautiful (i'll attach a picture) when I opened the box I saw a ring box inside. He grabbed the box and got down on one knee and proposed.

Cute proposal story. Sometimes you just know that they are the one and do not have to take years to find it out. I can't wait to hear more about the wedding plans!
