Directions

Personalize these wedding invitation templates by deleting the sample text and typing your own wedding information into the text boxes.

The typeface used in these templates is Century Gothic and is available for both PC and Mac platforms.

These templates are built to fit multiple cards onto a letter size page (8 1/2 × 11 inches). Once trimmed each card is a standard card size and will fit into standard sized envelopes. In order to ensure that the cards will fit into the corresponding envelopes, trim off the excess paper around the crop marks.

Some of the colors work nicely on different colored paper. For example, the brown template on top of a tan paper.

Card sizes and special instructions for each template are listed below.

Default Table Card

Table Card

Cards per Sheet:
  • 2 (5 x 6 inches cut)

Completed Cover Size (L x W):
  • 5 × 3 inches folded

Paragraph Styles
  • Table Number – 96 pt Century Gothic

Additional Instructions
  • As a folded card, this has the table number printed on both sides. When printed, one of the numbers must be upside down and in order to accomplish this, one of the text box must be made as a graphic.
  • First copy the text box that contains the number. Under “Edit”, there’s an option called “Paste Special”. After clicking on this, a window opens. Choose “Picture (PNG)”.
  • You now have an image. There should be a picture toolbar where you should find a “Text Wrapping” button. Click on that and choose “Behind Text”. This enables you to rotate and move the image.

This thread doesn't get read by the creator after they make it, usually. Once you have more posts you can private message Steve Galvez and he'll be able to help you.

Each template has instructions with it as needed, or you can download the whole package using the links in the last post, which has all the templates and instructions in one zipped package. If you've tried that and have a specific problem or question, please post it and maybe someone can help you out.

I think the program cover is designed to be folded over program pages, which would be easy enough to format directly in Word. Or you could print the cover double-sided, with your program info on the inside, if you didn't want additional pages.

The program cover is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches, or half a standard sheet, so I would suggest setting your Word document with two columns that would be pages that face each other, or, if printed on the back of the cover, would create a double-sided, single sheet program. Then you'll have to trim it after printing, but you can get two sets of two per page. How you set it up really depends on how many pages you need, and whether you want them double-sided or not.

To print double sided (since most home printers don't have that option built in), just figure out which direction to lay your paper (do a couple test runs if this isn't somewhere on the printer or in the manual) and just run the paper through a second time.

It's not too difficult to set something up in Word. If you've never really used Word this way, do you have a friend or coworker who could help you set it up? There are also lots of online tutorials if you don't have a manual for Word.

This may sound really weird, but can you not just print it in black and white instead of colour?
