Default What should the Guys Wear?

I am having a spring 2008 wedding (March 29 - the weekend after Easter) with a spring/Easter theme. I have not purchased my dress but it will most likely be an off-white. I am having three bridesmaids and two flower girls. Each of them will be wearing a different colour pastel (blue, purple, yellow, green and pink). The Bridesmaids will all be wearing the same dress (cocktail length, each in own colour) and the flowergirls will also be wearing identical dresses (except colour). I am thinking of purchasing them each a nice, dressy off-white sweater since it will likely be cold and I know that one of my bridesmaids does not want her upper arms showing (any thoughts on that?). My question is what should I dress the groom, three groomsmen and two ringbearers in? NONE of the guys would be impressed with being dressed in any pastel especially pink or purple and I know that it does not suit them. I also do not want a large expense for the ringbearers families (I was thinking just dress pants, shirt and tie). Please help me!

Hello Dawn:

I can help! The men don't have to conform to the beautiful, pastel color scheme you have in mind. So if you're having a formal afternoon wedding, the guys can be in gray tuxedoes or suits with a gray tie -- which looks awesome with pastel dresses -- and if it's a formal evening wedding, the guys can be in black tuxedoes or suits with black ties, with the groom and his best man wearing white ties. It's always best to go traditional, since having the guys wear pastel ties or vests has too prom-like a look to it.

Just let me know if your wedding is NOT formal, and I'll share some additional ideas with you!
