wave Red, Black, Ivory

Hello. I am new here, just getting started planning. My husband and I will be married 20 years this October 22nd and we are going to renew our Wedding Vows in an Outdoor Ceremony at a local State Historic Site which has a covered bridge and a mill. It is beautiful and the backdrop plus the fall leaves in full array will be georgeous. We are having a small intimate ceremony with family and friends. I want to wear an Ivory Dress either floor length or at least a little long, not a traditional wedding gown. My bouquet will consist of 20 roses in my chosen colors of Ivory, Black and Crimson Red. Our daughter, who is 17 will be my maid of honor and she will wear black. We have two sons, our oldest who is 16 and he will give me away and our youngest son, 14 will be the Best Man for his father. The boys will wear black dress pants and a Crimson Shirt with a Black Cummberbund. Their dad will wear black pants with an Ivory Shirt and Crimson Cummerbund. We have chosen to include our children in a family medallion ceremony. We are trying to decide on where to fit our songs in at. We know of at least 3 songs that we are set on. Just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone else here has chosen those same colors for a fall outdoor wedding?

Hi Gwen, welcome to Pash! I think your colors and the ceremony as a whole sounds absolutely beautiful. Congratulations on renewing your vows! I think it's absolutely amazing when couples do this after being married for a long time. I can only hope for the same.

My wedding colors were white, black and red, so they were close to yours. The big difference is that I was married in April. I think that many couples are having the colors that they really love regardless of what time of year it is.

Again, welcome - and we love pictures and details so don't hesitate to share!
