Default when to book

Hi girls,

I was just reading through neebelungs post about the planner and i know nothing about this stuff tbh! I just started to think, planning from the UK it might be best to hire a planner for the whole thing beging to end and to include the day. How far in advance do you have to hire them and do you think i need a full service or just certain bits?

Thanks lovlies

What little knowledge I have about wedding planners is from watching shows like "Whose wedding is it anyway?" so it might not be totally realistic... But I've seen couples hire the planner as early as a year ahead of time, to as close to two weeks prior... some seem to go with nothing more than a checkbook and an open mind, while others seem to have their ducks in a row, in terms of what they want, the theme, the look, and just want the planner to make it all happen for them. So I would THINK they could tailor their package and services for you, based on just how much assistance you need from them.

Thanks hunni, I do have some ideas of what i want, but im being careful not to choose too much incase i change my mind in the last year! I guess i could start by looking around for planners and what work they do, then go from there.
Thanks again
