Wow! We had an amazing trip. It was incredible.

We went to the Cote d'Or area south of Dijon, France. We biked around vineyards for three days. We drank lots of really yummy wine. We camped on slopes overlooking vineyards and sunflower fields. Then we took a fast train to Paris and spent two days walking all over the city. DH even tried escargot!!
I thought the French people were overall quite friendly. We really didn't run into any problems with the language (my french is pathetic, and DH's is worse than mine). Also, we had really yummy food, and it was fun to see DH try different things, and point to something on the menu just to see what they would bring him!
It was overcast almost the whole time, and it rained on us quite a bit. That was a downfall, but on the other hand it wasn't too hot for biking, and we ended up in a quaint romantic Bed and Breakfast in a little wine village!
And remember, if you go to wine country, BRING A CORKSCREW!!!!! I couldn't believe we forgot to bring one. Luckily we found a simple one for about 6 euros. We also forgot glasses - so we drank nice Burgundy wine out of the bottle every night!

It was so much fun!
The best thing about the trip was the way it made me feel about marriage. I fell in love with my DH all over again and I feel so so so lucky to have him. After a long period in my life of being practically anti-marriage, I am so at peace and joyful in my life, and a huge part of it has to do with the fact that I've married the most wonderful man in the world!!
Here are the few photos that photobucket will accept at the moment. There's a great one of us together in front of the Sacred Heart church in Paris, but I can't get it up at the moment, so hopefully later...
Me on my bike!
my hubby with our Burgundy red...from the bottle! Yee haw!
I had to embarass DH by making him pose in front of this travel agent's in the center of Dijon. Cuz we are Just Married!
