Talking teeth whitening

This is something I should have asked before I bought them, but has anyone used Crest Whitestrips? I'm wearing them now, they taste so bad and I'm wondering if it's worth it -- today is only my second day with them, it says results in 3, so I guess I should stick it out -- but I was wondering if you girls had any positive/negative reviews.

Thumbs up Yes, they work

I've used the Whitestrips a couple of times and they have always worked for me. I'm not sure if you are using the 1 or 2 week plan. If you are using the 2week one like I did, it might be like a week before you see a difference.

They worked pretty well for me. I didn't continue use because of some teeth sensitivity I got while using them.

Another thing to get (I mentioned this on the old forum so forgive me if you've heard it) is the Oral B/Braun AdvancePower toothbrush. I think they're like $19-24 depending on the model you buy. Target and Wal Mart carry them. I was using it just as a better toothbrush and found that it naturally whitens teeth. My teeth were lookin' all antique mother of pearl and stuff before. But Richy noticed how much whiter they'd gotten in about 1-2 weeks. I also had a stain that every dentist told me wouldn't ever come out and it, too, was lightened significantly. Needless to say just about everyone I know has this toothbrush now. It feels like a dentist cleaning every time you use it too. It gets under your gums. Good stuff. It's great because there are no extra steps. You just brush your teeth as usual.

I used them, and it was well worth it! My teeth are much whiter than they were before. I didn't compare as I went, though. I just waited until the 2 weeks was over and surprised myself with how much they had changed.

Ooooh, cru5h, I want that toothbrush. My teeth feel cleaner just thinking about it. I'm obsessed with my teeth feeling smooth.

I do have to say, Crest did the cutest thing and put a little mirror on the inside lid of the box so you can look at it while you put the strips on. I've been staring at my teeth in it for like, 15 min now.

DH uses them and loves them, and we can both see the difference. I used them for a couple of days after I temporarily got my braces off for the wedding, and I couldn't really see a difference in that short amount of time. From what I remember, the Premium Whitestrips are about $45/box right? Well, for about $300 you can get professional bleaching trays at your dentist, and the refill gel is about $25 for about a 12 month supply of the gel. It works way better than the white strips, and the trays last forever. In the end, it's a better product (works in 1 treatment) and is cheaper over time. I am going to get new trays after these infernal braces are off for good.

I only paid $30, bebe -- and this stuff is making my teeth REALLY sensitive. I read some reviews online that said I should use a Sensodyne type toothpaste if that happens -- but I already spent $30 on my tooth whitening adventure and am not feeling spending even $6 more. So I guess I'll just deal with it. I REALLY want white teeth.

I bought them last year, and they worked for me. But, I hate having to sit with my mouth wide open for 30 mins. every time I wear them. If I don't, the bottom one won't stay on. They did work for me though, I actually need to finish using the package I have... And any kind of bleaching can make your teeth sensitive, so stay away from drastic temperatures and spices for awhile. Your teeth should lighten up on the sensitivity after you stop using the strips. It also says you can use them every other day instead of every day, have you tried that?

The dentist I used to work for recommended them to his patients before he would do professional whitening. He claimed that it worked. Also Sensodine toothpaste is also something he recommended and handed out samples. It definately works, and now they have really freshening flavors too.

I use Crest whitening strips every six months and I definitely notice a difference! However, I used them for the whole two weeks, and my teeth get quite sensitive toward the end (I can't even eat ice cream then), but it's worth it!

That's the one. You plug the base in and set the brush on it. It charges just from sitting there. It gets yucky though, so make sure you rinse the brush out really good. It's still going to get yucky, but at least not with toothpaste (like Richy's...he swears he rinses good).
