Conch Shell Bouquet
Materials: - Conch shell w/ open spiral end
- Silk flowers
- Hot glue gun
- Scent spray
Instructions:
I got the shell at a shop at South Street Seaport that sells seashells. Then I went to the craft store for the flowers. Starting with the back side of the shell (the side I wanted towards me), I glued a row of flowers along the inside of the outer layer of shell. Once I got all the way across, I did the same with the second layer of shell, and so on with each row until I
got to the center peak of the shell. I arranged the smaller flowers to be front and lower so all the flowers would be visible.
I did this a few months before the wedding and covered the shell in protective wrap until the morning of. Then I fluffed out the flowers, made a couple of last-minute repairs with the glue gun and sprayed scent spry on them. That was over two years ago, and now, up close, you can still smell it.
I did the same thing for MOH and BM's, but smaller, and they had mostly white flowers with some color accent.
