Check on allergy conditions for your wedding day
If you have allergies, you know what I mean. Itchy, red eyes, stuffed head, headache, scratchy throat, sneezing...so you'll definitely want to get an idea of what the allergen levels are for your wedding day. This site works just like the weather websites, and I use it to decide if I'm going to take allergy medicine on certain days: www.nasal-allergies.com. Just plug in your zip code and it gives you a detailed allergen level count where you are...
We let our wedding guests know about this, since our cocktail hour will be outdoors. They need to know as well~

Good idea! We're having an outdoor farm wedding, and while I thought about sunscreen, water, fans, etc... I never thought about allergies!

Becareful when sharing the info with guests though. When I was planning, I let a friend know that I was going to use a few particular herbs and she gave me a really hard time b/c she was allergic. She wasn't even in the wedding. But, I changed my entire flower choice thinking that maybe others would be too. I really, really wanted herbs and it's something I regret.
Someone is always going to be allergic to something, but I do understand outdoor allergies can be more severe. Maybe have some allergy meds in the necessity baskets for the reception bathrooms. (Out of reach of kids of course.)
This same friend gave me a hard time about planting lilac bushes around the front of our home. This time I told her to not visit, lol.

I took our allergies and those of our wedding party, immediate family, and closest friends into consideration, but I wouldn't check with every single guest. DH has severe indoor and outdoor allergies, though, so I was already planning to be careful about that. That's one of the main reasons we did not use floral centerpieces, and I told the florist that did our bouquets to stay the heck away from lilies, which can be highly scented. My best friend's mom is allergic to eucalyptus, so I made sure to avoid that, too.

I wasn't thinking of doing anything like that - just maybe posting a link to the allergies website on my wedding wepage, and adding meds to the necessities basket... and of course making sure FH & I are prepared. But usually our allergies are worst in the spring, not the summer. Whew!
