Default Eiffel Tower vase

I kinda like these they don't come with the feathers in then. Plus I wouldn't put the feathers in it. I need to find something for the reception windows. If I would get these what do u think I could put in them? Do u think they would look alright in the windows? I found them on ebay I've bought off this person a lot and they are very nice people to deal with. They would coast me about $65.00. But I'm sure I could sale them back on ebay or even have my aunt buy them for other weddings she does. I still need to find something for the tables also but I'm really looking for candelabras for the tables...

Here is a picture of the window I want to put them in.

oh woooow, those are really really cool looking all lit up like that. I'd go for it! They will look great as long as what you're putting in them doesn't span wider than the window sill is deep.

I would think that they need a soft, billowy flower to make them look balanced, since they're so long and thin. I would ask a florist what they suggest. It's going to look so great!

I thought about putting red marbles in the bottom so maybe the glass looked red and then put two of those really long calla Lilly's in them. Just not sure if it would look right with me using roses and tulips...

OMG Leslie, my friend Carla bought some of these for her wedding next August!!! That is such a trip! She is using the feathers though. They do look very pretty in person. I agree with CW - I think if you were to use something other than the feathers, whatever you use would still have to be pretty substantial to give it a balanced look.

bebe I sure hope those feathers look better in person. I'm sure they do! I don't think I could go that big.

I did find a picture of something I like but not sure if it will look right in the windows or would it be better for a centerpiece.

I think that arrangement is really pretty too lj! I understand not everyone is going to be into the feathers! You could totally do something like that. I don't think what you put in the vases is as important as the size and shape. The picture you just posted has the right shape and balance for the height of the vase. I like the way it hangs down. Carla is using hers as table centerpieces, but these would look good in the windows as well. I think the thing you would have to think about in the windows is the arrangement sticking out too far and anyone running into it and pulling it down or getting poked in the eye or something! I love your concept, and I think the vases are beautiful regardless of what you decide to do with them.

I'm going to check and see if my aunt can do these the morning of the wedding. The only problem I think we could have is it might be to heavy with real flowers. I don't want them to fall over and break.

Get some of that museum putty stuff that is used to stick things down without ruining them, I bet that would work.

We use these vases often in my area. They are really nice for centerpieces because they don't use many flowers and they are tall enough that people can see under them. Many of the florists have them and rent them. They are very breakable, however, so be careful. If the window sills are not completely level, you could have a problem.

Those are really cool with the feathers - definitely a conversation piece!

I would definitly talk to your florist and see what they say. The vases are beautiful. YOur florist would probably also be able to tell you how to keep them from falling over. Id go for it.

OK I bid and I won. I hate when I loss a bid. So I now am waiting on 12 of these Eiffel towers I ended up paying 39.99 for them plus $24.80 shipping. So thats only $5.40 a vase so I don't think that is bad. Then I will have to add in what every the flower are going to coast me.

I also purchased these tonight. I am going to place 4 on each table so that leaves me with 24 that I can line the walk way up to the church. The reason I went ahead and purchased these is I get 65% of shipping on all my other auction I win with in 14 days from the same person.

I also ordered these I have found it hard to find the 2 tone red and black roses so I figure we will find something to do with them.

LJ, you are totally the ebay queen!!! I may have to enlist you to help me find things on ebay after your wedding. I look around some, but I probably don't have the patience to find great buys like you do!

maroki13 just let me know and I'll see what I can find. U can get in trouble on ebay but if u watch whats going on your safe most of the time. I have only been burnt one time and it really wasn't no ones fault. I think the color chart is a shade different in Canada then here. I'm excite to see every thing. I have used this guy b-4 and every thing was perfect so I'm hoping this time is the same...
