Default Visiting my color choices

Hey all,

It's been a while. Just re-visiting my colots.I have changed my colors. Initially, i had chosen a dark red and silver... Now i am going with dark red and gold. I was thinking that the bridemaids would wear gold and the groomsmen in ivory and gold. And my dress is still red of course but i found a prettier dress.. Here is what I am considering... Opinions please.

I love love love your reception dress!!!

Just a question though...what is a reception dress? what is the point of getting a dress for the ceremony AND a dress for the reception? Is it a cultural tradition? I've never really heard of them.

Some cultures (like Chinese) actually do change dresses...for Chinese, the more changes the more luck (or prosperity? I forget...need to ask my friend again...)

But lots of brides just like it; they get to wear two pretty dresses and can go with completely different styles. Just for fun; I think that's the case here. Sorry, Blizz, if I'm making a wrong assumption...please correct me!

Anyway, I think the color scheme is great. I love your dresses, both of them. The wedding dress is so dramatic. I think my parents would have shot me, and I know DH would have been very upset (he doesn't like red ) but it is gorgeous if it is your style. And the reception dress is lovely more casual style. Good choices!

The accent colors on the bridal and reception dresses come across more as silver and diamond than gold.

I'm thinking you might need a deeper color for the bridesmaids than pale gold or they are just going to fade away.

Very interesting choices. What flowers do you plan to carry?

Thanks all,

Birdie and Novembergal
Its not cultural for me. There is going to be alot of dancing going on at the reception and I need something shorter to move around in comfortably. I think that the reception dress will give me what I need.

The picture of the reception dress actually is in silver. But it comes in a gold trim... I have thought about my other options and I just dont want it tacky. Champagne is too dull. And I am not sure of anything else..

I am still not sure on any flowers yet... any suggestions?
