Wedding Gift
So Mark's parents just suprised us and brought us our wedding gifts.
We got them early because they had them made by the Amish and they were done a lot sooner than they thought.
So we got two end tables and a coffee table!!!
They are sooooo nice! What a suprise!
Pics to follow...I promise!

How wonderful! I grew up near an Amish community and their work is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see them!

Sounds nice! The Amish woodworkers up the street from us have the absolute cutest "Noah's Ark" shaped play set (swing, slide, boat to climb in and on) in their yard, and I want that for my new grandbaby. It's the cutest swingset/play yard thing I've seen in a long time. Can't wait to see pictures of your new tables.

Are you serious? If so, I can get one for you the next time I go up North to see my family. Should be in late June. Since all of them are handmade, they can cost anywhere from $500 to $3000 depending on detail and size.
Here's a site that promises authentic Amish and Mennonite items for sale, including a list of quilt shops. I checked out a few and they seem real, but it's hard when you know the Amish don't use computers. I'm sure whomever is selling them is making taking some off the top of the cost.
http://www.amish.net/
Quilts are listed on the bottom right.
If you really want one, and want to know that it's real - that I went to actual shop run by the Amish to get it, shoot me an e-mail and we'll work out the details when I head up there.

Here are the pics:
Coffeetable:

End Table: (the other one is the exact same)
All the tables have end pieces so they can either be square or round.

H, I'll let you know when I win the lottery and maybe you can grab me one in shades of blue!
