Gifts for parents
So I found these necklaces that FH and I both like and would like to get for our moms. They cost about $20 each.
Do you all think we should get gifts for all of the parents since they are all contributing financially? I know we probably should, budgeting is just a little tight right now and I would love to find something for the dads (2 dads and a stepdad) that would mean a lot but not cost a lot. I thought of finding photos of us together when we were younger and framing them or something but I'm not sure.
What do you all think?

Absolutely girl. You should plan on gifts for parents regardless of whether they are contributing financially. It's more than just a thank you for helping with the wedding, more like a thank you for being there for us, raising your significant other, etc.
I think that necklace is absolutely beautiful, and the price is great too. Photos of you both as children would also be a wonderful gift for all of the parents.

I like the photo idea. We bought a frame for each set of parents that holds two photos side-by-side, and wrote a letter to them and placed it on one side, and bought a wedding photo (family one) after the wedding and put it in the other side.
You could also write a letter and put pictures of you when you were younger on the other side.
I know both sets of parents loved their letter....all of them were in tears at the RD.

I think we're doing a pocket watch for my dad. Not really sure though.
I want something that's meaningful, but not expensive. Boo money!

Ok, guess I'm going to be a rebel. No way am I buying a gift for my stepmonster. Her "contribution" to the wedding was throwing a fit until we changed the date (from October to July) so that my wedding wouldn't inconvenience her.
And they wonder why I moved 1100 miles away?

Can you buy one gift that encompases both parents?? We also bought a frame and had our wedding date engraved on it. Then we wrote a little something on the paper inside the frame and told them we would get them wedding photo of their choice to put inside....

Oh that is really beautiful! I would say if you can find a nice idea like the photo one you were thinking of, then you should get them something to say thanks, and to make them feel special too
