Default guest baskets

Well 10 more sleeps!!
I think I am getting somethings ahead of myself on but what the hell. I am having a huge storage problem. I made up the guests hotel baskets tonight. Now I have no idea where to store them. They are on the counter in the kitchen right now but I have to get them moved by the AM because the tile guy is coming in the AM to grout the tiles in the kitchen. I just seem to be running out of room. I have 2 big dogs, Montana an Airedale and K.C. a dalmation. They have been so snoopy into everything and I have stuff all over. I still have to take my dress out so the skirt of it can poof. I certainly hope I will settle down and relax soon. At least the reservations have been made for our honeymoon.
Have any of you found storage to be a problem? How do you deal with it? I am like obsesive when it comes to clean and so I have things piled up in the big rubber containers and need to go through everything but I hate making a mess. It just seems like so much. I have 10 cases of wine in my family room, the spare bedroom is full of stuff, the pantry is overflowing. It is starting to get to me. I want it all to be in one pile but I don't want things to be chaotic on order to do that.

I am the same way. Things are pileing up.
I have large silver plastic totes all stacked up in one spot. I just labeled each of them with exactly is in them - on one end. Printed out the lists for each tote and then slid them into sheet protectors. Taped the sheet protectors to each tote. I also put a small colored clip art on each sheet, something I would notice from a glance, but not so small it was hard to see. That clipart showed me what was in the tote.
IE: floral garland to decorate the ceremony alter - has a daisy and a set of rings.
Flower vases for cocktail hour table and the platters for the appetizers, that tote has a clip art of a wine glass and a daisy.
You get the picture.
Makes the mess so much easier to deal with. Also, in the plastic totes, I don't have to worry about a spill ruining something and they are stacked heaviest on the bottom up to lightest. No taller than 4 high, so the don't tip over.
Storage really becomes an issue. I feel for you.

I am so excited, all your work is coming so close to a beautiful day.

Hang in there.

I went to Walmart and bought 8 or 9 of those clear storage bins with white tops that snap in place. I stored everything in those in our guest bedroom, and when I walked in, I could see everything and could find exactly what I needed.

I'm starting to have a storage problem. Since I'm in the middle of nowhere in a state park living in a TINY bunkhouse with 2 other people - I'm having some problems. We have 2 sets of bunkbeds in the one bedroom. We have one spare bed so I've claimed that as my storage spot. I think my roommates understand that I have so much stuff to deal with. Right now I'm using boxes but I will probably go get some totes for the drive up to Ohio so nothing gets messed up.

It is getting close!!! Yea!

I'm very lucky to have my grandma living about 10 miles away form me, and her house is pretty big, so she's been kind enough to let me move all my wedding stuff over there.

Before that though I started to panic because of how much stuff I was compiling! This is something people should be warned about before they start planning LOL

Storage is really becoming an issue for me, and I'm still 6 months out! Luckily the dress, slip, shoes, etc. are all going to a relative's house next weekend. She's a seamstress so she'll be altering it.

As for everything else...it's all in boxes. My closet is a disaster area right now. It's a huge walk-in closet, at least seven feet long and four feet wide, and it's PACKED. I have no idea what I'm going to do with everything!

thanks girls, I was thinking this storage thing had to be a shared thing. It is so beautiful out today but i guess I better get busy.
The red and white wines are already boxed. 10 cases
now it is time to sort through what stays here and what goes to the church and what goes to the hall.

Soulsearcher, great idea with the list of items for you totes. I am going to do that. (off topic my 3/4 inch gravel arrived today while I was out so looks like it'll have to stay piled up until FH is off his stupid ass shift 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM I am not going to attempt to rake 10 more yards of gravel my thumb is still purple from my other accident and Iam still covered in bruises from the back yard)

I had storage issues too. Heck, I still do and it's been almost a year, lol. I also used clear totes and a 3-drawer plastic thing. But the whole side of my office was still covered with stuff.

Unless you keep yours after the wedding, you can sell it and be rid of it. (I kept my stuff because I knew I'd be using it for other weddings soon.)

Me three! And it's been nearly three! I used the rubbermaid containers also and had labels if they weren't clear. The clear were very handy though.
