Default Gift Card Theme!

Hey Girls! I need some help!

Because Dave and I already live together I don't want a "Kitchen" themed shower! If you know what I mean! I also thought about langerie and because I plan to lose some weight I would hate for someone to spend the money on something that does fit! So what I was thinking is a "gift Card" theme!

For example, Maybe a gift card for a langerie store, or Swin Co. To get a new bathing suite for the honeymoon! thats just some examples!

I need help on wording this on the invitation? Any Ideas?

What do you girls think?

Thanks in advance!

Well, call me a cheater I googled it and here's one sample :

"WHAT WILL THEY DO?"---GIFT CARD OR MONEY BRIDAL SHOWER

Bride-to-Be:

Place:

Date:
Time:

Given by:

RSVP:

What do you give the Bride who already has the traditional items you receive at a shower?

The newly-weds definitely need fun things to do during their first year of marriage!

The shower theme is:

"What Will They Do" ----Gift card/money shower.

A perfect gift for this Bride-to-Be is:

Gift cards or money for lingerie & swimsuits (for the honeymoon!), groceries, entertainment (restaurants or movie theaters) and other expenses during the first year of marriage.

Favorite stores and places to eat:

*List stores/restaurants here*"

ETA I think it's a fabulous idea!

Are you hosting your own shower? Or are you helping one of your BMs plan?

I like BJ's suggestions.

Ummmm....so are you guys registering? Why do you have to have a "kitchen" theme shower?? I don't understand??? Me personally....I probably wouldn't feel comfortable giving a gift card for a shower....it just seems im-personal to me....but that's just me.

Do you guys like to do something together, like a camping theme, or sports theme, or something. Then you could register at a sporting goods store and get things like tents, sleeping bags, coolers, chairs, tennis set, horse shoes. Or something like that it would not be kitchen stuff and it would be something you would definatly use (depending on if you like to camp and play outdoors). OOoh i would like to do that but i need house stuff . . . so it will be a traditional party for me!

I wouldn't have a Gift Card theme. People know you live together, so I'd just register for things you want and purposely leave all the stuff you already have off the list. IMO, asking for gift cards/money is a bit tacky.

My Mom and FMIL and FSIL and myself are planning it!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Bree, Thanks! What a great idea!

I think I'll stick with it! It will be interesting to see what happens
