Default One Year Later!

Ljeagle and Ann where are you...our anniversaries are right around the corner. I may have missed it if you already said what you were doing, but any plans? The hubby and I are heading to Universal Saturday for his company picnic, we will spend the day there and then leave. We are staying at a hotel down near Disney. We will prolly leave Universal to check in to the hotel, grab some dinner and then head to Epcot for the evening. On our anniversary day (May 6) we are going to Animal Kingdom for the day, and then heading home around dinner time, getting some take out and enjoying the evening at home.

I am so excited, we have our cake and a bottle of champagne!!

plus the following weekend my inlaws are coming in to town and they are taking us out to dinner and bringing a bottle of champagne to have with us!

oh and if you read my post about the job hunt...I know that I am not meant to be at the school..I have some connections with some other schools so I am crossing my fingers

I hope you two have a great 1st Anv.

We are leaving tonight when he gets in and heading to the cabin in the smokies. We are coming home early on Monday. Sat. night we are going to Dixie Stamped and Sunday we have some work to do on the cabin and new things to buy. The cake lady delivered our cake about a hour ago. It look just like the top layer of our cake just a little smaller but I had ask her to not make it so big. The company I rent my cabin out through is having us a party tray and a nice bottle of bubbly that will be delivered on Sunday. We have talked about heading up to ober Gatlinburg and eating our cake there but I think we might just put the hot tub to some use on Sunday. It's kinda cool right now so that might be what we end up doing.

Ann What your plans I hope you two have a great day tomorrow.

Happy anniversary you two! It was a real blessing having you both around last year to share exactly where we were with the wedding planning & stress! Thank you!

My plans for the anniversary are less than overwhelming.

I've taken a few days off work to try & get some rest and maybe get the house in order. (my Crohn's leaves me fatigued if I push myself too hard, it's starting to catch me up).

Anyway, tomorrow is our actual anniversary, but we're not doing anything. It's an old firm game [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Firm] Which means Mo will be out from early morning drinking with his friends. I don't want to celebrate our anniversary when he's drunk, so I made the decision to shift it to Monday!

Put it this way, had 5th May been an old firm game last year we would not have had our wedding then, so I don't mind shuffling our anniversary either!

So Monday Mo has booked the day off work too. We're going to go into Glasgow during the day, buy some tickets for gigs & have lunch. Then Monday night we're going into Hamilton to my favourite Italian restaurant. When we get home we'll snuggle up & watch our wedding DVD slide show
I never even gave any thought to the cake.... it's still in my MIL's deep freeze!

It seems astounding that it has been a year already. We've had some tough times, but I think we've made a lot of progress too! Getting used to living together has been a challenge, given that I'd lived on my own for 11 years! But we're getting there.
