Default REALLY cute favor idea

My Mom had this sitting on her coffee table when I went to visit her for Christmas. I think everyone that walked in the house ended up playing with it! We couldn't put it down!

"Crazy Jar"
Ingredients (suit to what you have or can get):
18 oz plastic jar (PB and/or parmesan cheese jars work well).
Bird seed (lots of it)
small rubber band
small screw
paper clip
button
pearl
safety pin
marble
small bell
thumb tack
macaroni
small spring
bobby pin
penny
toothpick
wiggly eye

Put everything inside the jar. But, only fill the jar with the birdseed up to the bottom of the ridges that secure the lid. You want *some* air space in there but don't want any empty space showing from underneath the lid.

The point is to turn, twist, or shake the jar until you find all of the hidden items. The thumb tack and penny are the hardest! I ended up opening the jar and dumping everything out to find them.

Just make sure you actually put everything in!!! Oh, and don't forget to put a label on top that lists all the items. Don't put any labels on the jar itself... you won't be able to see what's inside!

Thumbs up

We were actually talking about those last week and thought about making those for our kids at work. I think they'd get a kick out of it. Of course, I'd be mean and hot glue the lid on. Lol. That would be a cute favor idea tho....

That sounds like a great way to entertain kids (and adults!) on a rainy day!
