Default It's My Wedding Too - Question 3 -- Leah's happy ending

Were you happy -- or disappointed -- that Leah 'found love' in the form of her restaurant, and not a man?

I was a little surprised, but I liked it. It was a good point of view...that you don't need a man to be truly happy and she followed her heart's desires. And for the hopeless romantics, I think that eventually she'd find someone.

I was also a little surprised. I think that it's amazing that she found something to keep her mind focused and off men, but I as a hopeless romantic, wish to think that she found someone later down the road. I did like her ending though.

+1

(by the way, i love that the nickname 'beans' came into play. that's my nickname! I laughed like hell when i read that part.)

Oh, and I love how the oranges that made her strange in the beginning made her eclectic at the end!

I didn't like it actually. I would have preferred her to find a guy, but I also didn't like that we found out what happened with her, and then went back in time to when Emilie talked to Delilah and the article in InStyle. I would have preferred it to be the other way around.

I originally had Leah end up with Ed, but it all seemed too stereotypical. I did love how I brought him into the novel, though. [That waterfront with the kayak docks is a real place in Hoboken, NJ and in my single girl days, I was always hoping that one of the hot kayak guys would pick me up ] So I had her 'fall in love' with her restaurant, where she could safely be involved with true love in a different way -- creating a place that's the top location for marriage proposals. It shows that she believes in the happy ending, and that her good karma in helping all those people pop the question would surely find her a man of her own someday.

I wanted to do a sequel/spin-off about her, how the restaurant brought in a guy on a bad blind date or something, a man who's jaded like she was, and it goes on from there to her happy ending with him. But my editor didn't see the merit in giving her a boyfriend in another novel. He wanted me to do an Emilie and Anthony have a baby novel, which is too 'Father of the Bride Part 2' for me. So while that's not in the works yet, you never know...Leah might just be back in that sequel.

Default What should happen to Carmela?

That's a great idea, Anna... I think that of all the characters in the book, the biggest question mark is in what happens to her.

Book club members, what would YOU like to see happen with Carmela in a future novel? [Oooo, fun idea...those who post to this question will get their first names used in the book as other characters in her world!]

Hmmm...tough question. I would like to see Carmela talk things out with Vic, but not end up back together. I think she should definitely do more kareoke .

I think it would be fun to have the other mother hook carmela up. Not in a girly-lets be friends way... more like wanting carmela to fail, so arranging a date with carmela and this mystery man that is all wrong for her, "below" Delilah so to say... but then have it work out wonderfully to carmela's advantage.

or, i'd like her to meet someone in the newly founded restaurant!

Default If you'd like a signed copy of the book...

....just send me a Private Message with your full name and address, and who you'd like me to sign the book to. I'll write back with a special Pash discount price, including shipping.

And if you'd like any of my *other* wedding books signed (check 'em out at www.sharonnaylor.net) and sent to you, just let me know and we'll work out a discount for those, too!

Have a great day!
