applause Meeting

We have a meeting tomorrow with my former youth minister's dad. He is a minister of a church about an hour away. Tammy said that more than likely he will do it. She said that as far as she knows he has nothing going on. YAAAAY!!!!

Does anyone have any pointers on what I should ask, shouldn't ask, stuff like that.

Find out as much as you can about the type of ceremony he'll perform. How many readings you'll need, how many song's you're allowed, etc. If you plan on writing your own vows, make sure that's OK. Find out what TYPE of reading and songs you're allowed. If you're getting married at his church, find out what decorations you're allowed to have, and if there's anything you can borrow from the church (we used my church's candelabras).

I'm sure there's more, but this is all I can think of right this second. I hope this helps a little. Maybe it will inspire you to think of things I've missed.

Make sure to ask if your BMs (and you) have to have your shoulders covered. Some churches won't allow sleeveless or strapless gowns...

Make sure you LIKE the wedding liturgy he has planned -- there are some passages that are read that are about submission of wives and taken out of context, they really stink...so make sure you're comfortable with the actual Scripture being read.
