Unhappy Lost our officiant.

Our very dear family (cowboy) preacher has been put into the hospital. He is 68 and not doing very well. It was a complete suprise to everybody. He has always been healthy and active. Our hearts are broken over his illness. It has become obvious to us that he will not be available to marry us. We are worried that he might not even be with us very much longer.

Now, we have nobody else in mind to marry us. I am at a loss as I am calling people. Trying to get in contact with somebody from our Christian Cowboy Church contacts. There are many other wonderful preachers out there. Yet, we want ours to be of our "affiliation". Most from the CCC are on the road and involved in the cowboy church's for the rodeos.

If there is anybody out there (I know not many of you are "western" but...)
who knows somebody that will be in the Wyoming area near June 23rd. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

My Grandpa went to a "cowboy church" before he died! I thought it was just a local church where he lived!

Anyway, prayers for your friend, that he may heal, and prayer that you find a wonderful pastor for your wedding.

I know in my home town in NE the Church of Christ pastor is a nice young man. his brother married Bob and I, but that would still be several hours away.

I'm so sorry girl. I hope he recovers, and I will keep him in my thoughts.

I know this is an older post of mine. Just an update.

He was released from the hospital. BUT....he has been put into a "home".
He suffered a stroke while in the hospital and is struggling. His family is very distraught at this point. I have been with them this morning. Our hearts are broken....yet, we know that for every thing there is a season.

His family wanted me to send out many thank you's and blessings to all of you. They were very touched by all of you and your wishes and prayers.

Thank you so much. You guys are the GREATEST!!!!
