GOTTA make a final decision!
Ugh..I am just agonizing over this!
I must get my final order in for flowers this week. I just have to.
So here is what I am thinking and I would love your baldly honest opinions.
Cream roses (vendellas)
Peach roses (oceanas)
english lavender
love in the mist for filler
tree fern for greens
thinking of cutting some sage (there's an abundance of it just outside my front door) to also be filler..might go good with the sagey color of the lavender.
My bridesmaids are in lavender dresses, my MOH in a dark purple one. Well, we hope at least on the MOH. We're getting that custom made and it remains to be seen how that's going to turn out. But that's another post. I thought we would do better with a really contrasting dress rather than trying to match up the lavenders. At least it will LOOK like we did it on purpose
I wanted some contrasting color like the peach to make it pop. Then, all of my other deco is white, silver, and touches of peach, lavender and dark purple, and my dress is ivory with gold accessories. Is this all going to look like a train wreck? Would I do better to leave out the peach and go for lavender roses?
Like I said, be honest with your opinions!

I think it sounds lovely. Because the peach is in a similar intensity to lavender, I think it will blend nicely--giving some contrast, but still matching, if that makes sense.

I like the creams, the greens and lavender and leave the peach out.

Personally, I don't think that roses are supposed to be "purple". LOL.
Other than that, I would have to see something to be able to tell you.
Sorry, I am a visual person.
I can say though that you have always had wonderful taste. You seem to have that touch. I say, if it looks good to you. Take a deep breath and don't second guess yourself.
I know what you choose will be beautiful and perfect.

I also am visual but I think it should be good. Have you seen all these flowers arranged together before?

I think it kind of depends on the shade of peach... if it is too deep/orangy, then yes it will look WIERD... but I think a nice light peach (almost a shade of cream) will look beaustiful next to the lavender.
And I really like the sage idea too!

That's where I'm running into trouble too..I can't picture it all together either, and can't seem to find anything similar. This is *close* but has too much yellow and the roses are lavender..that color will be replaced with actual lavender. Maria, I am with you..glad to know I'm not the only one out there that just doesn't care for lavender roses. They're just not sposta be that color
Here, *kind of* like this:
http://www.aflowermart.com/product.asp?id=8817
My bridal bouquet is being made by a florist with pretty much the same flowers and she seems to think it's going to be great. Of course..who knows if that's the truth or she's just telling me that.
There was another woman in at the same time I was ordering who (somewhat rudely) told me I wouldn't be able to get lavender or stock in July. Huh..I told her I'd be happy to bring some in from the farm I am ordering from. From what I've seen, July is peak harvesting time for lavender. The younger lady apologized when the snag left, told me they'd be able to get it just fine. Ah...white dress syndrome..

I think it sounds lovely! The picture link you supplied showed stock in the bouquet, and it has the most glorious smell!

Yep, I saw the stock and thought about doing that too..here's the rub with that..sometimes stock comes out pretty bright yellow. (Oh, unless you meant lavender stock?) I wonder if that would look right? Especially with sage tones? I've been wondering if an element of yellow needed to be in there, and have added and removed stock about 4 times from my shopping cart over at 2g.
Well, I got them ordered this morning anyway. Of course, I can change my mind on them up until a week or so before the ceremony. That might not necessarily be a good thing

I agree that if you go with the peach you should probably use a bit of yellow too, to bring it all together, but did you consider instead of peach going with a real pale pink? Pink and lavender go very well...(you would have to see inside my head)lol.
Good luck, make sure you take pics when they come in!

I agree.... pink and lavender do go very well and could pull it together for you. But I am not a big peach fan....

Hmmmmmmmmm..pink. NOW look what you all did
Just by chance today, albertson's had some vendellas and the PERFECT shade of peach roses. Now, these aren't a pinky peach, and they aren't orange. They're closer to champagne, just a little deeper. Kind of an ivory peach/yellowy peach?
I think with the pastels of the love in the mist, and the lavender, it's gonna be okay..so long as I don't get orange or pinky peach. The roses I saw were called Parisiennes. The problem with ordering from a farm is you can't be overly picky about the shades..so, I might be giving that pink a little more thought too.
Thanks you guys! Everyone here is so great for advice and ideas!
