Shine Control for the Groom?
What product (s) would you recommend to control shine and/or sweating on my FH's face? He's worried about his face shining CONSTANTLY, like every day, so I thought it'd be nice to get him some product for the wedding so he won't have to worry

I have no advice and am in kinda the same boat with my FH he has shiny skin and will not wear anything that says makeup or looks like it is for girls. So maybe something that was made for men

Hi!
I think that's a great idea! I tend to do a little work on the groom sometimes, and here are my favorite products for keeping shine in line
Smashbox Anti-Shine
This is a powder-gel formula that is meant to keep actors from getting shiny under the hot studio lights. You apply it to the face and it sets, almost like a powder, but it just gives a nice matte finish to the skin. I would recommend the neutral colored one. ( www.smashbox.com)
Merle Norman Shine Control Lotion
You can apply this light lotion to your face to prevent oily breakthrough. I has marine derived extracts like seaweed extract to counteract the overproduction of oil. ( www.merlenorman.com)
Tarte Cosmetics "Little Blot Book"
This is a cool little product that looks like a little black book, but you open it up and it reveals oil-blotting papers and a translucent powder mattifyer with a brush to brush on the matte powder. It really makes a difference, and brides and grooms alike really like the overall outcome. ( www.tartecosmetics.com)
I hope this small list gives you a couple of ideas on what you can give to your FH!

Maybe you can tell them that the Smashbox anti-shine is used on famous actors in movies?? That would definetly make it less "Girly"

I think I'll stop by Merle Norman this week to check out that lotion. My second option would be the smashbox. I love the idea of the blot book, but its all purple and girly, and I think he'd kill me if he had to use that in front of his Groomsmen
ETA:
And yeah, if I get the smashbox I am definitely going to pull the actor card LOL

Well I showed him and he saw right away "Shine control to go! Oil: it’s a girl’s dirtiest little secret". It was also a little expensive has anyone saw that type of thing but like a cheaper version?

Yes, the Tarte Cosmetics Little Blot Book is an amazing product, but it does look girly. My FH actually uses the Merle Norman Shine Control Lotion (ssshhhh!!! ) and his skin looks and feels so soft, but not oily (his female cousin even remarked how nice his skin was looking) so that may be a perfect option for him.
As far as less expensive items that are comparable, you can find the Smashbox anti-shine at e-bay for less. Here is the link. Hope this helps!

I use an anti-shine product by Mary Kay that works pretty well too. It's not too expensive either.

Just wanted to say I did get the Smashbox product for FH on ebay. He's tested it out on a normal day and completely LOVES it. He wants to wear it every day, but he says he'd feel bad cause it's so expensive
I just told him wear it on days when you know people will be taking pictures of you (Family gatherings, etc)

OC8 Matifying Gel
This works great for holding down the shine with or without makeup for up to 8 hours. It's about $39 and worth every penny.

If you dont want to spend a lot there is these wipe you can get they are like 5 bucks and it has 50 wipes. They look like little blue sheets of paper but they absorb a lot of oil. I got the clean and clear oil absorbing sheets and the package they came in was so small that you could put it in the pocket of the tux. My FH loves it. You can even use it over make-up
