Wineglass/Winecharm Wedding Favors
Materials: - 1 wineglass
- 2x2 inch piece of cardstock with a hole punched in the corner
- Winecharm ring, can be purchased at a beading store or on ebay
- Pewter charm (this can be fun to personalize)
- assorted beads. I am using swarovski crystal beads and pewter spacers. You will need 6-8 beads for each charm.
- 2 mini silk flowers, usually sold in little bundles in craft stores
- 6-8 inches of ribbon, 1/2 wide or less works best.
Instructions:
1. To make the wine charm, thread the beads and pewter charm on in the order you want them in. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and bend up the very end of the charm ring so it fits into the hook on the other end.
2. Wrap your silk flowers around the wineglass stem. This works best if you twist the flowers together close to the buds first, then twist them around the wineglass.
3. Thread your tag made from card stock onto the ribbon, then tie the ribbon in a regular, shoe tying type bow. The phrase I put on my cards reads: "Use this glass to toast good cheer, then take it home to toast all year!"
All materials were bought at the dollar store (wineglasses), hobby lobby and ebay. Total cost per glass: $2.15. But remember, they're also doing double duty and being both favors and wineglasses, too! The charm shown with this glass is for my bridesmaid who plays ice hockey. It's a little goalie. Pewter charms can be found on almost any theme, and there are tons of them on ebay.
