Wedding Date 2/14/2008
Well here it is..
My fiancee and I are getting married on Febuary 14th 2008 on Miami Beach at Sunset. We chose this date because it is Valentines Day and we wanted our Valentine's Day to be filled with something special. I met him during Cadetting a few years back. He was my Officer-In-Charge. His name is Jason Dettrey. He is the most amazing person in the world. He has been there for me through out all of the hardships that I have had in my life and he has been my supporter throughout the hard times. I could never picture myself marrying any other guy. He is just that amazing. Although we are currently in a long distance relationship because I have to finish high school, we know that our love will never break and that our love is really true love. He lives in Miami Florida and is going to college for a degree in Buissness Administation. He wants to open his own resturaunt someday and call is AJ's (April and Jason) but for now he works as a Shift Manager at McDonalds making money so he can go to college. I am in my last year of high school and can not wait to graduate. I am a high honor student and am in the New Hampshire Army National Guard (Enlisted in September 2006) as a Military Police. My Unit is the 272 MP Corps out of Plymouth, NH. This summer I will go to Basic and AIT at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and make it back in time to have my wedding, and start my college Term at Miami Dade Kendall Campus. I am majoring in Criminal Justice Basic Law Enforcement and am getting an associates degree and then transfering to University of Central Florida in Orlando to get a degree in forensic technician in hopes to get a job at the police department as a crime scene investagator. Right now, while I am in school, I work part time at a McDonalds and attend my National Guard Drills once a month.
For our Wedding, We have written our own wedding vows. We did it this way because we want this day to be specifically about us and be personalized about us. Also if we wrote our own vows it is more romantic and more personalized with the love we feel for eachother. I have already picked out my wedding dress and he already has his tuxedo. Mine is an Adora wedding dress and I dont know what his tux looks like lol (am I suppose to know?) Our parents are okay with us getting married so young because they know that it is what we want and they have given us permission as well as am helping us plan.
So thats the deal with my wedding Story

Thank you Guys!
Yes young love is amazing isnt it!!
Well I am sure you want to know how he popped the question..as everyone often is curious so I figured I could post it here before I head off to work (Not that I want to go lol but I'll be back later)
Jason and I had been together for A Year and three months and our relationship had been moving progressivly fast. We both knew we wanted to be together forever so one day he told me he had a surprise for me and that it would arrive in the mail the next day. It was a rose and a note that said open the box and look under the foil. I looked under and it was a ring, I called him and said "is this a promise ring" and all of a sudden he got silent. I was sorta wondering what was going to happen. He then said to me "April my darling, I love you so very much and you are my world. I know you want to spend the rest of your life with me and after realizing how much you mean to me, I want to spend the rest of my life with you too. In fact I want to have kids with you, live a happy life with you and even be buried under the same headstone with you. Our love is one that not one person will ever have because our love is an amazing and passionate love. I am asking you on this day of August 16th 2006 if you will marry me? I was in shock, crying but I screamed YES I WILL!! I love you..and just kept repeating myself.
And so Pashers..Thats how he popped the Question!! Of course my mother knew about the whole thing and she wasnt saying anything (Dont you just love mothers) But I absolutly am so glad that he is the guy I am marrying..This ring hasnt left my finger since I have put it on and it never will!

He is very mature for his age..You would be surprised..At almost 19 years old (Turns 19 on June 10th) He pays for his mothers bills, his car, the groceries and his cell phone, on top of that he pays for college and the little monthly item he gets for me. His mother is disabled and she cant do much so he helps take care of her. He cooks and cleans and all that stuff a woman should do..lol..
The ring came with the wedding band and it has dimonds all the way around it, and then the actual engagement ring has a 1 carat dimond in the center and then dimonds all around the engagement ring..
I dont want to know how much it cost..he spoils me..but its not the thought that counts its the love we have in our hearts for eachother.

Everything looks great! A couple of the links didn't work for me....but I LOVE that Victorian Lilac color, that is the color I had chosen for my BMs before we decided to go with a beachy/ocean color theme.
How many bridesmaids are you having? Is it 2 bridesmaids and a MOH? And are you ordering your dress in ivory or white? Or does it come in other colors??
Isn't your fiance the one that you said was serving in Iraq? I'm assuming from your posts that he made it back safely and is now staying stateside and going to college. Good for him and good for you that it sounds like he won't be going back over there!
With less than a year to go, you are well on your way to getting a lot of the planning done! Are you getting married in a chapel/church or at a different setting?

Um..
I guess I have to clear things up here a bit..
Febuary 16th 2005--Jason and I met eachother and remained just friends..
June 2005-- Jason and I started dating..were not sure about the long distance thing..so we broke up and remained friends
November 2005--met Scott..SGT..US Army..19 (ex-fiancee)
Febuary 2006--Scott got deployed to Iraq
May 2006--Scott asked me to marry..unsure about it I said yes..
June 2006--Scott told me that he had cheated on me in Iraq..with some girl in a letter and broke the engagement off
June 25th 2006-Jason and I got back together..
August 16th 2006--Got Engaged to Jason
Febuary 14th 2008--Getting Married to Jason..
Does this clear things up a bit?

Our wedding is going to be different..because its mostly color themed to go with the sunset..
We have two groups of Bridesmaids..Hence the two different colored dresses..
and yes there is one Maid of Honor..shes my best friend and like a sister to me..she is amazing..
We are getting married on Miami Beach during sunset..We will have a pastor there to wed us..planning isnt the issue..its the darn money, but we will manage..

Getting married, born and dying seems to take a whole lot of money!
Anyway, thanks for clearing up things for me!
And again, welcome back and congrats!
