Default Varied BM dresses

We are not running strictly taditional with our ceremony, or so our older family members say :] I say times have changed and we're not thinking anything to crazy n outta the loop. The dress I've fallen in love with is white with some red. Gorgeous! Naturally our colors will be white n red. BM dresses will be red and I like the IDEA of all the girls (5) wearing the same color and length but all differnt dresses. I say I like the IDEA because we haven't shoped yet so I haven't seen my girls in dresses together. I think it would show off each the girls indivuduality and show off each their body types nicely. I'm also thinking I will carry a red boquet and the girls will carry white boquets. What do yall think of my ideas

I didn't do this, but I don't see anything wrong with it as long as all the dresses are the same shade of red. Otherwise, it might clash a little.

I'll echo what Feb said.

And don't worry about going "crazy and outta the loop". It's your wedding, and you're not hurting anyone by having something out of the ordinary, and you're also not having it 50 years ago, you're having it in the "new millenium", babe.

Yeah if we go this route I want to make sure they are all buying from the same shop so they can all order the same red, I also want full length.

That is originally what I had planned but my mother told my MOH and now SIL (my age) that they were to get this dress bc that is what my DH's sisters got (they are 9 and 12 yrs older then me). The dress my DH's sister picked out I knew she would go for bc it was almost exact to the BM dress for her wedding.

Best of Luck! Take the girls shopping to see if you really like it.

For one of the weddings I am in next year, the bride has chosen a skirt in red from Davids Bridal that we will all wear, and we can choose whatever top we want from the collection (also in red.)

Yeah, David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, and others all have mix and match where the BMs can pick out a different style dress in the same color. I LOVE this idea, as not all women look good in the same style of dress. I think that would look really pretty with your dress with an accent of red and the red BM's!

I think it sounds just like what I am doing. My dress is white with black...my BMS will all wear different dresses (even different lengths). My flowers are dark red and everyone else's are white.

I had five BM's, each of them wore a different style dress but the same color and length. I was looking for a pic for someone else, so once again, if I find it, I will post it.

*Please ignore my terrible punctuation- I couldn't think of how to break up that sentence properly and still convey my thought. I guess I've gone nuts!
