Default Should you invest in a Professional Hair and Makeup artist?

Hello ladies!
This is a question I get asked time and time again, I thought I'd list the advantages of hiring a professional to make you look the best for your wedding day.

1) Unless you know somene who does hair and makeup (and would be willing to do it for free!) it's best to leave it up to a professional. You want to make sure you don't have "the dreaded line" of a foundation that is too dark (or too light) and you need to know which types of foundations are good for photography (no SPF!) in order to pull off doing your own makeup. Likewise, unless you have worked on hair before (whether professionally or just on your girlfriends and relatives) it's REALLY hard to get the look that you want for your wedding day, and not to mention it will cause you unecessary stress leading up to your Big Day and for the day of.

2) You want to make sure your makeup colors are a classic, timeless palette and not trendy colors that will out of style and make you cringe when you look at your wedding pictures 10 years from now. It's best to have makeup that enhances your natural beauty, and if you wish, you can kick it up a notch with smokey eyes or a bolder lip color for your reception that follows ( as it is generally a more "laid back" atmosphere ). While it may seem "boring", believe me, it is the best way to go!

3) Finally, if you think that paying a few hundred dollars to have someone pamper you and make you look dazzling on your wedding day is too much:

a) What? Who doens't want to be pampered?
b) How much did you spend on that photographer? That's what I thought, you want to make sure that you are getting the most out of those pictures, video, etc. After all, it is what you will have to remember the biggest day of your life and you want to look timeless, elegant and stunning for years to come.

If you would like to post any questions about beauty, I would love to answer them for you!
