Jeremy and I have been a couple for 3 1/2 yrs now BUT we've known each other since 9th grade. (although we lost touch after highschool when he got married) After his divorce 4 yrs ago a mutual friend put us back in touch and we hit it off! I have a 8 1/2 yr old son and he has two daughters 8 and 5 1/2. They get along soooo great, couldnt ask for anything better. Jeremy is always a romantic guy so when he planned a fun and romantic weekend getaway to Taylors Falls on August 20, 2005 I thought nothing of it except How Fun. We had been taking the kids camping most the weekends we had them all summer so it would be nice to get away, just the two of us. We arrived saturday morning at went canoeing on the ST. CROIX river for 4 hours. (super fun and didnt tip over to my suprise) we stopped off and walking around the little islands and shores. Had a picnic lunch and a fallen tree (apparently this is when he was going to propose but he didnt fell the super romantic vibe in that setting lol) Then we checked into a cute Bed and Breakfast in the country. Hung out a little and then got dressed up to go on a dinner cruise. The dinner was good but I didnt like that it was 8 people to a table, not very private. After the cruise we went back to the B&B and J had previously asked the owner of the B&B to have a little fire started for us to sit by out back by the barn for when we got home. We sat down and relaxed and thats when he did it. It was sooo sweet and I was so shocked . . . I couldnt believe this had just happend! I kept waking up in the night checking my hand and nearly pinching my self. Next morning we went horseback riding before we went home. ( sidenote: I got bucked off the damn horse. My friends all laughed and said it was because the horse didnt apprieciate the weight of my new ring. lol)
The whole weekend was amazing (exceptfor the horse part) He even asked my parents permission a few months before and apparently everyone knew he was going to do it, all our friends parents and even the lady at the B&B knew weeks ahead. Hes to sweet. We are getting married August 11th 2006! So Excited.
