Exclamation Do NOT use Rolling Meadows Florist!!!

I want to warn all the ladies out there. I just got married on Feb 3 and used Rolling Meadows Florist. Being that I found them through a bridal expo I figured they would be trust worthy and have good work. When I went in to speak with them I saw their books and everything seemed to look great. Much to my surprise on my wedding day I found that I couldn't even tell the difference between my bouquet and my girls. It was the smallest thing. Not only that, I had supplied them with a picture of what I was looking for in the design and it didn't even come close and half of my flowers were dead. The unity candle center pc was about 1/3 of the expected size and upon looking it over I noticed that I could see the styrofoam underneath because they didn't use enough flowers. I also had to take some of the flowers off of the boutonnières because they were dead and drooping and I didn't want them looking bad in all the pictures. When I returned from my honeymoon I called to complain to the manager. He was very rude and told me he couldn't help me. I told him I expected some sort of compensation or a little bit of a refund. He told me to sue him and hung up on me.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!!

Regards

Mrs H

Im sorry you had to go threw that. If he wants to be so rude about it, then I would take him to court. Maybe it will teach him that he can't be doing that to people.

I agree with RauliesGirl. People are rude until someone actually does something about it it seems. So maybe dragging him to court and making him own up to it will change his tune.

I hope you got pictures of the flowers before you pulled out the dead ones and fixed the bouts, etc.

That would be helpful in court.

And you should sue him. What an ass.

Agree with everyone else! Pics are important - hopefully you got pics, those serve as proof in a courtroom. That, and make sure you have pictures of what you WANTED, plus the contract you had with the florist. Armed with these, you'll win, hands down.

Can y'all tell I watch a LOT of court tv???

I just want to play devil's advocate for a moment .....

This complaint could be legit, but how are we to judge in that we we aren't getting both sides of the story?

This bride could be bridezilla, chock full of unrealistic expectations.

This could also be someone who holds a grudge against the owner of this business and what better way to flame them than to post anywhere and everywhere on the internet?

Just my humble opinion but this post is similar to spam. The poster comes here, makes one post and then leaves. Me? I would be more likely to trust the opinions given by regular posters than one hit wonders.

Sorry to hear of your floral frenzy. I don't know if this would help but if you were to go back to the florist with some photos of his/her weary possies and ask if they thought these were exceptable to present at a wedding? Then with their response I would address the situation with the fact that they were not up to standards and at that time ask again to be compensated. They know as well as you what is done is done - but perhaps they can mediate the situation a bit better.
Good luck

Default You don't know what your talking about lady! you are just a complainer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You just like to complain about everything, how come you are the only
complaint there is? since 1990 there has been no complaints, and lots of
thank you cards sent to Rolling Meadows Florist, so why don't you stop
telling fibs!

Cathy this post is over a year old! The person who posted this didn't even log back on after the post was made. I wouldn't worry about this and I sure wouldn't make a big deal out of it. More trouble then it is worth!
