Nope.... I can't imagine why you would do that. Seems like they would die pretty quickly. If you need an unusual color, I would go with silk flowers.

Actually, some florists do this, but I've only heard of them doing this to tint the edges of flowers (e.g, white roses with the edges tinted pink). There's apparently a special type of spray paint that they use. I would not recommend trying to do this yourself.

Yup, talk to your florist. Definitely NOT a do it yourself project

I've seen it done with white roses. My brother wanted to get his wife roses for whatever the reason was and she loves the color of teal, so they "tipped" it with spray paint. I think it might be a florist paint (specially made for this purpose) I'm not sure though. They just hold the flower upside down and in short squirts they "paint" them. The end result is kinda neat, but couldn't you get the same result with food coloring in the water like they do for carnations?

It's not like you can just buy some random spray paint and use it on flowers. That would probably look nasty!

It's called design master. You can get it at the craft store. Michaels and Hobby lobby. YOu can spray silk or fresh with it. I use it all the time.

Huh....who would've thought???? I didn't think it would turn out, I would think it would "stiffen" the roses....does that make sense?
Thanks for the experiment and the results MrsIvey.....now we know!
