Hey -- I'm Married! - The PASH Wedding Forums and Message Boards

Hi All -- just a quick note to say the wedding went well. Weather was certainly a consideration, and we had about 10 no shows, but other than that, all went well. The ceremony was lovely, with my aunt and my pastor from my home church officiating. DDs were both there, and that truly made our day!
MOH was acting a little weird, but I think it had just sunk in that her brother was actually getting married. For those of you who weren't here when I introduced myself last summer, DH and his sister were always very close and have NO other family than each other. She seemed quite distracted during the entire last few days leading up to the wedding, and through the wedding and reception.
Our reception was a boatload of fun, with a super DJ and great food. Everybody danced & had a good time. DH and I just went to a local hotel's honeymoon suite for the weekend, but it was wonderful. It's a little hard to get back to the daily grind, but it feels SO good to be married to the most wonderful man in the world! I'm very shy about posting pictures, but will try to get a few posted in the next few days.

So... What were your favourite 3 moments of the day?

Is there anything that drove you crazy?

Is there anything that you would do differently?

What do you remember going perfectly, just how you'd planned?

Is there anything that drove you crazy? My Maid of Honor not only barely made it to the wedding, but showed up with NO makeup and with her hair wet! I felt like she didn't care at all how she looked. We eventually pinned her down long enough to do her hair at least. Plus, her toast at the reception was like a slap in the face. It started out like "I really hate this, but my brother is now married, so I have to make the best of it"! Everybody just sort of looked at her like she was nuts. I think she was drunk

Is there anything that you would do differently? I'd pick a different musician than the 80 million year old church lady who played the organ -- it sounded sort of like a haunted house.
Also, I probably would have insisted we elope and have a huge party when we returned. It would have been fun to be someplace WARM!

What do you remember going perfectly, just how you'd planned?

This is going to sound conceited, but my hair and makeup were much better than I had planned. Also, the church looked just like I had planned it to be decorated.
