Is there a specific Bible to give a couple who will be married in the Catholic church?

I just wanted to clarify -- you're giving them a Bible for their wedding gift? If that's the case, any regular Bible will be fine. In some ways I prefer the King James version because the language is more *flowery* (aka poetic). But there's lots of versions out there, just take your pick.

Actually I don't think the King James Version is appropriate for a gift to a Catholic bride. Double check this but I believe the Catholic version of the bible has more books than some others. Try the New American Bible.

Why don't you call a Catholic Church to see what they recommend you purchase?

I wasn't aware of a particular Bible that would be more suitable than others, but it's good to know.

I think the Vulgate version is appropriate for Catholics.
