our wedding - have i lost my mind
So, i final found out from the minister that we can do the 23rd of June, so we're getting married the 23rd of June. We got our engagement pics done. I got my gown, he picked his tuxs out ( they still need sized ), I got my veil and tiara and garter. I got my flower girl dress picked out and my bridesmaids just need to agree on dresses. We have our wedding party picked out. Except I don't know who is walking me down the isle. My bro had said before he would but we moved so I don't know. I'm hoping he will. Anyway we think we're gonna go with the Days INN, in scottsbluff. I'm so over worked and exhusted. and everything keeps running through my mind.
So, I still have to find a good but cheap DJ, Caterer and maybe a amature photographer. Not to mention my bridesmaids are scattered from one state to another and they don't have any wedding planners around here. I've totally gone insane. It's offical. Anyway there is my first update on my wedding

same with my bridesmaids! one is in Los angeles, one is in Minnesota, one is in Florida, and then I have the faithful three that are here in Alabama. But, since we decided on BM dresses at David's Bridal, they can order their dresses at the DB closest to them, so it worked out okay. Speaking of cheap DJ, I need to do that too! It sounds like you're coming along ok in your planning though. I think all Brides at some point go insane. I know I have!

You need to take a deep breath and take a break! If you are overworked because of wedding stuff, take the afternoon off! Make some popcorn and watch a movie or do something you really enjoy. As much effort goes into planning a wedding, it IS only one day of your entire life and in the end, no one will notice if there are things missing. Things will get done!
And my BMs are scattered, one in Ohio, one in Kansas, and one in Missouri. Not to mention I live in Florida and am getting married in Ohio so I'm planning EVERYTHING from a distance.
It will be okay!!!

I think we all need to do this every once in a while during the process

Good luck with everything! Just relax and make a list of what you need to do and what you have already have done so you can see that you are further along than you think you are!

Hello. Welcome to pash. I agree with making a list of things that you still need to get done. Then go from there.
I'm lucky that all 4 of my bridesmaids are within an hour from me. It really made things go alot more smoothly.
Good luck. I'm sure things will work out just fine!

Congratulations and welcome to Pash! We'll help you get everything straight - just ask.
I agree with the above too. Take some time for yourself (and/or with your fiance) and just relax. NO wedding talk!

Welcome!
I lived in the Panhandle (sandhills) of Nebraska before moving back out west. Have you lived there all your life? My gosh you have some beautiful locations you could have for a wedding..... or some potentials depending on what you like and are looking for!
Many of us are going through or have been through all the things you mentioned, so please feel free to ask tons of questions!

Hey dont worry - you have heaps done and you still have four months to go!!
Atleast your bridesmaids are in the same country - mine were in England, Australia and New Zealand, we just got their measurements and shoe size and picked something - luckily the dresses and shoes fit perfectly!
Oh and welcom to Pash!

For an amatuer photographer you might want to contact your local college. They have photography department with students who would love the extra cash and usually do a great job. We knew somebody who hired a student from a local film school for her wedding to do videography and she gave him a fraction of what she would have to give a professional and he did a great job. Just an idea.

Where are you getting married? I am a professional photographer, but I only have a couple weddings under my belt and I would love to help you out by being affordable to you! I just need to know where you are located! I'd love your opinion on my work! Look forward to hearing from you!

Alexi, welcome to the forums as a vendor, but please check out the date of a thread before advertising. This post is from almost five months ago.
Thanks.
