Your DJ can help you with the song selections. Most DJs have thousands of songs from which to choose. You don't need to tell them every song to play but rather give them the names of favorite singers and an idea of the type of Country music that you prefer.

Are you looking for more country songs from what I read it looks like you want a variety of music. For that I would look to the top 40s hits and listen to them and decide what you like. I know you are looking for Variety for your guests but I think you should like the music too!

I suggest the cha cha slide for a line dance. For other variety...
I'm a fan of 80's rock, so can't go wrong there. Areosmith, Bon Jovi, AC/DC....I'll have to dig up some others.

i love country too, but FH hates it. I don't want to fast dance bc i hate to but i don't mind if other people do. So i have no clue what songs to pick. And i don't want people dragging me on the floor to get jiggy with it,lol. I honestly only know a few people that would fast dance, should i even play fast music???

We didn't have a lot of hip-hop or Top-40. Mostly 80's rock, and some swing - a decent variety. I have our playlist on Excel - if you PM me your e-mail address, I can send it to you.

I would suggest you make a list of songs you definitely DON'T want played and give that to your DJ, along with the general genre that you DO like... I think he could safely take it from there...

There are three lists to give the DJ - the "dances", the "MUST PLAY", and the "DO NOT UNDER PAIN OF DEATH DO NOT PLAY". These should be written into your contract with penalties involved if they are violated. Otherwise a general guideline as to your preferences will guide the DJ to provide you and your guests with music you will all enjoy.
