FINALLY
I've been lazy about flowers because it's one of those things that just aren't important to me. But today in the library I found a book with just photos of wedding bouquets, and I found the perfect solution--DAFFODILS! They are yellow (we are going with an overall color scheme of yellow and white), cheap, and cute! I'm more of a 'cute' type person anyway. Not very elegant. So I think it would be perfect! I also saw a great idea about growing my own pansies, or buying them in those flats and then transferring them to pots or buckets like tnbride's for centerpieces.
Also, Casey's new boss used to arrange flowers for Neiman Marcus (how RANDOM is that??) and offered to do all the arranging for us. We are so lucky! I'm glad I have one more 'decision' made! Now, does anyone know where a good place to get daffodils are? I don't really want to order them from a florist...

if you have a hobby lobby near you, they have really nice acrylic (I think it's acrylic. They feel real.) type faux flowers.

Thanks for the info! Daffodils will be pretty cheap, so I think I'll probably go for real ones.

Thanks! Yup, I'm definitely going to go for flowers in season. It will be cheaper that way!

Something like this, but probably with white roses instead and no orchids.

If you would have decided that before then you could have planted your own. I know it is weird but I would talk to Jewel Osco (if there is one by you) and see if you can order then through them. I know they do wedding flowers but I wonder if you can order loose stems in bulk from them. Or Dominicks usually has really nice flowers for cheap too! I would ask your grocery store if they have a florist inside!!!

Just one thing, daffodils have a lot of sap, so be sure you bind the bottoms of the stems after they are cut, to be sure they don't smear on your dress.
But I love daffodils. Good choice! In high season for them, my mom's garden could probably give you all you needed. Also be sure to check the variaties...there are lots of different kids of daffodils, with different colors and shapes.

Oooooh good idea about the grocery store (that's where I always see daffodils, anyway!). I'll check and see if we have either of those other places you mentioned too.

Yeah, I just found that out while reading about them today! I also found out that you can't put them in buckets with other flowers which is good to know since I'm using roses too and totally would have put them together.
