A reporter from a major bridal magazine is looking to profile you (or your recently-married friends and relatives) on your worst wedding buys -- the things you paid a lot for that weren't worth it...
Here's her letter, so please do reply to her directly:
"For a story for a national bridal magazine, I need to speak with brides who were recently married (within the last five years) about their best and worst wedding reception buys (e.g., flowers, cake, favors, invitations, transportation, catering, decor, venue, entertainment, etc.).
While I still need a few more “best buys,” I’m really looking for brides to admit their “worst buys,” which could be items/services where you spent too much money, and weren’t satisfied with the product/service, or in retrospect felt it wasn’t necessary to spend that sort of money. (It can also be an item/service where you thought you were saving money, and it turned out that you didn’t get the best quality. It can simply a situation where if you had the opportunity to do it again, you wouldn’t shell out the same amount of money for the particular product/service. Please send a detailed e-mail with your best/worst buys, and why it was so. To be included in the story you must provide your wedding date, age, city/state in which you reside, and occupation. (Please note all best and worst buys must pertain to the reception. We are not including anything related to attire/bridal or bridesmaid dresses.) Contact:
