Ok, so how long did it take these people to learn this? LOL Do you think your relatives and friends would do it too?

You KNOW that was the grooms idea! He was the only one who REALLY knew the dance and he was WAY into it! lol

I can see myself trying to goad my family into that. I might have ended up with a black eye.

It's a little too cheerleader-ish for me.

Considering I knew I wasn't inviting a dance-party crowd, there's no way I could pull that off!

I probably would try to learn it if I'm asked to, but that's just me.

That's the kind of thing that if you're going to do, you have to go full out and just do it for all its worth, or you really look like an idiot. They looked like they were having a blast.

LOL .... I hear ya.

DH and I agreed that it would be "fun" to "dance" out of the sanctuary to Natalie Cole's "Everlasting Love" .... but ummm I was the only one groovin to the beat. That's the last time I trust him

In all seriousness, my bridesmaids and I will be doing the choreography to NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" at the reception. No joke.

my fiance and his friends were all tech crew in highschool, meaning they set up and dj'd all the school plays, concerts, and dances. well they had a few little cheesey routines they would do at all the dances. they were big saturday night live fans so at every dance they would do a "what is love" skit (you know, the brothers in bad suits barhopping, later became a movie called night at the roxbury)
now when they're all together for weddings or whatever, they always make sure that song gets played so they can do a skit. so we will definately be doing that at our reception. i'm sure i'll probably be the unfortunate gal they invite to 'dance' with them. wouldn't be the first time hopefully i don't come out bruised this time lol

they had a couple others too but that was the best one.

we might also throw in a couple of world of warcraft dance moves. anyone who hasn't played that game won't get it, anyone who has, i have 2 words for you: gnome dance. we have a few guildies attending the reception so they will get a kick out of it. our families will think we're insane.

That's awesome!!! I was actually thinking about as a bridesmaids' gift, getting us all together for some dance lessons. I want to be out on that dance floor as a bride, but I suck at dancing!!

Thank god this post is AFTER our wedding or Michael would be begging me to do it (i hate WOW but think the gnome dance is hilarious).

We also almost had R2D2 as our ring bearer.

Justin loves WOW too

He's actually on a break right now because he figured out that it was affecting all aspects of his life because he played it all the time. For almost a year, he'd play that game for at least five hours a night. I was not a happy girlfriend! Now his BM is still playing and has passed him or whatever, plus the expansion pack has come out, so he's fighting the urge to play it again. It still takes $15 out of our account every month, though!!

yeah my FH plays quite a bit, myself i only play for an hour or two here and there. he keeps bugging me about being slow to level but whatever, i have other things to do too lol.
so far it hasn't been a problem for us. he mostly plays while i'm at work since we work opposite shifts anyways

Haha... I'm going to send the link for the Thriller video to my wedding party and tell them they have to learn it for the reception. I can't wait for the responses!
