Default gifts for the groomsman?

My little brother is my only groomsman. He already has a flask, and it doesn't really seem appropriate. This is my little brother, I want to give him something a little better than cuff links or a flask. Any ideas? Since I only have the one groomsman, I can spend a little more.

The only thing I can say is that it doesn't have to be a traditional GM gift. What would you buy him if it was a special Christmas or Birthday?

My brothers were in the BP too, I got them things I knew they'd appreciate... The one that went down best was a ceramic dish for holding condoms on his bedside table It was actually really funky!

That's a very good point! May not be exactly appropriate!

Hehehe! Ann! DOH! I'm fascinated by that box though-want to give it to a guy friend or something!

Took my brother a minute to figure out what it was! He loves it though!

He is 25, just moved to Northern California, and is turning into a good man. Still a player though. I dig the condom dish. I was thinking of a humidor full of cigars. But I was told it should be something enduring. So I was thinking a watch, but he has a couple already. He doesn't really wear jewelry, so I'm stuck.
Thanks by the way.

A humidor would be great, just get a metal plate engraved for him... then it will be enduring!

Like someone else said, just something that would be special and meaningful to him.

Golf lessons or membership, a weekend trip, cigar of the month club, wine or beer of the month club. If he's a player... satin sheets (you could have "player" embroidered across the top band

Hmmm...perhaps a gift that says "Thanks being my brother all these years." Depending on his interests...a gun...musicial instrument, etc, perhaps?

We're getting one of our groomsmen a personalized pub sign. We just stumbled on them one night. Just google it, tons of stuff comes up. It's not inexpensive, but it is special and enduring, I think...

I think he'd be pretty stoked about the humidor. I got my husband one on his birthday a few days before the wedding and he loved it. As in big time was thrilled. And filling it with his favorite cigars would be a nice touch-especially if you could find a few Cubans.

I think everyone's idea of "special and enduring" is going to be a little different-a humidor seemed to be your gut instinct, so I say go with it! A watch just seems a little more generic in your case, you know? Let us know what you decide!

We gave our guys really nice cross pens, engraved with their names. They all liked it. My brother was especially happy- he's in law school though. He plans to sign a lot of papers

What does your brother do?
