Smile Are your wedding favors...

Wedding favors can be the perennial Jordan almond, the useful wine bottle stopper or the popular personalized music CD. In which category does your wedding favor idea fall?

This wasn't a poll when I replied. Edible wasn't an option

We're doing pens that we're personalizing so they can use them to fill out the card at their place at the reception to use for our guest book and then go home and think of all the fun they had with us at the wedding whenever they use it- Functional for both the guest and for us!

Ours is chocolate. We are giving out M&Ms because both of our names start with M, and FH was so happy he thought up this idea lol. We are both happy with it...we are special ordering them in our wedding colors.

Default I had two...

One was edible (mini chocolate bars with custom labels) and the other was functional (votive candles).

I had 2.
1) functional - handheld fans (homemade) for an outdoor summer wedding
2) edible - a spoonful of (chocolate) kisses from the Mr & Mrs

They were a huge hit on both counts. I had enough of each for 100 people; had about 60 in attendance & only have about 5 of each left after the event.

ETA: changed the word useful to functional

mine was local wildflower honey... we had a garden wedding and we always call one another "Honey", so it was a perfect fit for us.

I won't have favours, but if I was going to have them they'd be edible. Probably chocolate of some type.

Mine was Faminie May chocolates. I had 2 different ones. Each had its own box (2 sizes). My Mom put the chocolates in their boxes and then wrapped each in white paper then glued the boxes together. It also had ribbon flowers and ribbons on top w/ fake little pearls glued where the 2 boxes met. Maybe I can find a pic of it later. LM

Our favors were edible and functional.

We had hand-held fans with our name and date on them. (Summer wedding, outside in FL)

We also had small packages of Jordan Almonds and after dinner mints that said "Thank you for sharing our Special Day."

I had two- dark chocolates molded into our initials and various Irish themes. And candle holders that were hand made- painted from the inside with special paints so when you lit the candle the background fades away and you just see the designs. Our designs included the illumination from the Book of Kells, an Irish Harp, Shamrocks, things like that.

I'm donating money to a charity, and giving people a chocolate bar or some kind of candy. I put it under functional...

edible, mostly but kinda functional too...

My mom came up with this idea to make little felt bags, like mini purses (I'll try to find a photo & post it) and we decorated them with flowers and other little things. Inside we put 2 home made Rosemary sugar cookies wrapped in cellophane & tulle. We also included a little note explaining that Rosemary is a sign of love & fidelity or something like that.

Those cookies were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! mmmmmmmm

we also made napkin rings out of paper. They turned out so great! I'll try to find a photo of those too.

Talking

We bought 16oz staduim cups as our favors. They are black and in white writing they say "I went to Justin and Jennifer's wedding and all I got was this stupid cup"

We bought them to be entertaining, LOL! It's our personalities to make light of things.
