Outdoor Summer Reception Favors
I'm thinking some kind of fan. Like something disposable so they don't feel like they have to keep it. I just want everyone to be ok, it gets pretty hot here in Cali.
Any sources for cheap fans that are pretty I can buy in bulk?
Or anyone know of a pretty way I can make my own?
BTW, my colors are sky blue, silver, and white...I know it's kinda plain in comparison to alot of weddings nowadays, but it feels elegant to me

You could check Oriental Trading Company. They usually have things you can buy in bulk and I'm sure they probably have fans. Their website is www.orientaltrading.com
Good luck!!
ETA: I just went to the website and typed "fans" into the search box, and it came up with 5 pages of fans. HTH!!

I'm in the Inland Empire, so it gets 10-20 degrees hotter here than in OC during summer. How nice, huh?
I just googled as well and found this one which is cute

On my way to those other links to check em out now! Thanks ladies!
EDIT:
OMG That Oriental Trading one Has CHEAP fans! YAY! as opposed to $.99, their stuff I'm interested in would be about $.25 per person! WOO!

I wouldn't even bother with favors. I think they're a waste of money and people don't care about them anyway....atleast most people.

That's why I'm trying to find something cheap...it's not to impress anyone or anything, but where I live, it can get to over 100 degrees outside, and that's where most of the reception will be held. It's more of a comfort thing for my guests than an etiquitte or trying-to-impress thing.

if you mean the oriental style folding fans, i think that's a great idea. you can get them with all kinds of different prints on them so you should be able to find something that matches your colours/theme, and you might even be able to find personalized.
i've seen tons of online and especially ebay stores selling them. if it costs too much to personalize them, get the personalized ribbon, it's pretty cheap, take off the wrist strap that comes with the fan and replace it with the ribbon

You discovered oriental trading that would have been my recomendation.
We or in the IE High Desert but were married in the OC. Our programs doubled as a fan. They were easy to print, but a royal bugger to cut (I wanted rounded edges). Our colors were similar to yours, not boring at all

I don't think I'm going to do programs, but I totally loved oriental trading, and I'll probably order the blue oriental-style folding fans with the metal handles, and maybe do a personalized ribbon thing as suggested by LadyFaile.
You guys are awesome, I'm glad I found this forum
And thanks DavidsFiance! Believe it or not that makes me feel alot better, my MOH is kinda pushing me to add tangerine O_O

I think your colours sound beautiful!
Classic enough, and tasteful enough not to age horribly in the photographs...
I've seen far to many 80s/90s wedding photos where you can immediately spot the year of the wedding because of the colour & styles used! Not something I wanted for my photos!
