First Dance
I am trying to decide on a first dance for my FH and me. Any suggestions? I was thinking "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts, something by Sinatra, or maybe At Last by Etta James, I don't know. I would like something unique maybe. Suggestions would be appreciated.

That's the one we're using also!!! I think it's especially appropriate for "encore" brides or grooms.

We are using "At Last" by Etta James. I just love that song. I think it's just perfect for a first dance song!

Do you guys have a special song? We used "Forever" by Ben Harper. I really liked picking something that I knew would be unique to us-half the people I talk to don't really even listen to Ben Harper, so it really got to be "ours."

We used "Heaven" by Bryan Adams, because Mo was a big Bryan Adams fan back in the day Plus the lyrics are beautiful, if a touch corny
ETA: There is a thread on here somewhere listing everyones first dance songs. Some people have posted the lyrics too

I LOVE country but my fiance HATES it. There are so many good country songs that would be perfect for our first dance. So i have no idea what we are going to use. What kinda of music are you going to be playing through out the whole reception? All love songs? or Are you going to play reg. songs on the radio too, like fast songs?

I am going to use all kinds of songs, b/c I like all kinds of music, country, dance, hip-hop, all that good stuff. I want some fast dance songs, to keep people dancing!!! I can't wait!

We are using Forever and Ever by Randy Travis. It's a really sweet song and not really slow - we are two-stepping to it! We aren't super country but do enjoy the good songs!
For the reception, my FH and I have an ecclectic taste in music so it will be quite a mix but nothing racy since grandparents, religious family members, and small children will all be there. I'm also having my bridal party send me their own requests for their favorite songs so when I am organizing a song list, everyone's favorite songs will be included (this way I know people will get up and boogey too!)
