Yeah, I like that idea. If both you and MOH ask her to go with you (has she SEEN the dress on either one of you?) maybe she'll get an idea. And tell her that you don't want to hurt her feelings, but you don't want her to realize about the dresses when she is looking at wedding photos.

I'd be bummed, too. The only thing I can say is yeah, it is her wedding and she's probably going to do whatever she wants, which sucks. It does seem to be the way a lot of girls are for whatever reason. I personally just wanted my girls to feel pretty in what they were wearing.
Also, it might not be AS bad as you think. Empire waists are usually really elongating. From pics I've seen of you, you don't really have a gut at all. Just pop on some control top hose or Spanx if you feel self conscious, a nice pair of low heels to help your posture and rock the damn dress, babe!
BTW, I do NOT make my body fit clothes, clothes either fit my body or they don't. You're hot! You're hot enough for your cutie pie DH and you are hot enough to wear that dress as you are, hands down.

That really sucks... but I definitely agree that no matter WHAT the dress is, she should see it on you before you buy it...

You guys are too sweet! Thanks for all the compliments...I did send her an email asking if any of us had tried it on and that I wasn't sure how it'd look on me...but I haven't heard back. But, if that's what she wants then I'll deal with it.
So here I am going to apologize for my rant, I've been "off" the past couple of days and was dizzy all day yesterday. So it just kinda made me explode when it shouldn't have. Thanks for listening.

I am so sorry Renee. Hopefully she will agree to see what you all look like in it in her wedding. If I were here I would want everyone to look good for my wedding so that it looks nice all together. But unfortunately not all brides see things this way. And the dress is from DB.. I remeber how you feel about them.....

It seems awfully "prom dressish" with those rosebuds hatching under your boobs.

So sorry about the dress. Seems every wedding I've been in the bride has done her best to make me look like an amazon stuck in 1985. So I feel for you.
BTW: Isn't that mylar dress in violation of several EPA laws?

OMG, I needed that. And you've got a point...but that's kind of her sense of "style" I guess.

If she doesn't change her mind though it is her wedding and she will have most of the pictures so if you dont look good then it will be her own fault for choosing that dress. Maybe she picked one that would look bad on everyone so that she would look extra good. I am sure she didn't do that though

hunch your back, stick out your front and take a spoonful of Ipecac syrup about an hour before you take these pictures... The worse it looks, the better!
Good luck, and i hope mean-bride has a change of heart!
