June 16th
Hi! I am new to this and I am getting married on June 16th. And, I am already getting nervous. Don't get me wrong I cannot wait to be married, I think I am just anxious about the ceremony---I mean, how can I not be-it is the most important day of my life. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can reduce the stress so that I can enjoy this more and enjoy the ceremony more. I am scared I'm going to have some kind of panic attack or something during the ceremony--and I just being stupid haha!

Relax! It will all be worth it in the end! You are probably just getting nervous like all of us do. By the way Congratulations and Welcome to Pash. Everyone here is great. Now, are you getting married this June? Do you have a list of things that still needs to be done? Let us know if you need ideas for anything. We are great at brain storming. I'm also getting married in June on the 30th.
Let us in on more details. Can't wait to hear!

I am getting married on the 16th of this year. I have most of the big things done. I do need a few ideas for the reception and decorating. I am having hor'devors (Spelling?), so does this mean that I don't need to have place settings and a seating chart, or do I still need all that? It's going to be like a buffett style thing. And then we will have 8-9 round tables for everyone to sit on. My colors are blue and pink, any unique ideas for table centerpieces? So, how much have you gotten done? Yours is only 2 weeks after mine, that's cool!

First, welcome to Pash!
Second; what exactly about the ceremony are you nervous about? Are you nervous about getting married? Are you nervous about the words that will be said? Are you nervous about the decorations and everything coming together for the ceremony?
I, too, thought I was going to have a really hard time at our ceremony. I wasn't nervous at all, but I get extremely emotional and would have sworn (before our wedding) that I would bawl throughout the ceremony. It was extremely emotional for me and I did break down bawling right before I walked down the aisle, but that was it. As soon as I turned the corner and saw all the guests and my DH waiting up at the front for me, I calmed down. I did tear up a little bit reading our vows, but the rest of the ceremony was fine for me.

I honestly think that it is just stage fright---Being up as the center of attention in front of everyone. Scared I'll have a panic attack or something, faint, or throw up from being nervous (I know these are all irrational, but I can't seem to tell myself that). But, the good think is I am in no way nervous about things not being "perfect", I think the imperfections make a wedding unique and interesting. So, once I get past the ceremony it's going to be all fun! ANd the ceremony goes by really fast, right? Like what 10-20 minutes?
And...why is my profile picture not showing up??

Our ceremony was only about 15 minutes long and yes, it went by extremely fast. And when I was up there with DH, it was almost as if we were the only people (along with the officiant) in the chapel. I sort of had tunnel vision.
I'm sure it will be fine!
