I finally made a thread here to pull everything together.

'Everything' isn't really that much, as we haven't done that much. (3 months to go...gotta get moving!)

Here we go...

The reception area really is beautiful, it looks like an old run down barn in that picture but it's very cute.

I'll be modeling our cupcake stand after this one:

-Assorted sandwich trays
-Assorted vegetable trays with dip
-Cracker and cheese trays
-Italian meatballs in marinara
-Fruit trays
-Punch
-Coffee

-BM still needs tux, MOH still needs dress
-Flowers: My bouquet, MOH bouquet, about 5 stems per table for centerpieces
-I need shoes, special lingerie, and jewelry
-Book hotel for night of wedding
-Casey needs a ring, I need to resize my ring
-Make invitations
-Collect the last few addresses from people
-Centerpieces...watering cans? tin buckets? DECIDE AND BUY!
-Look around Gatlinburg area for group activities after the wedding
-Slideshow?
-Speakers for music at reception
-Decide if gazebo needs decorations
-Book appointment for hair and makeup consultation
-Marriage license
-Order of ceremony and vows
-Figure out how our officiant can officiate! (She is licensed or whatever in Kentucky, wedding is in Tennessee)
-Make programs
-Order cake stand and decorate it
-Order cupcakes
-Put together a team of set up/tear down people

Looks like you are on a good start!! I have a pretty good "final to do" list if you want to use it, I could email it to you. I used it the last 3 months of our wedding and it was great to remember all the small details that seem to be forgotten in the final rush.

And thanks everyone for your encouragement. We've been so preoccupied with finding FH a good job that he enjoys and trying to move that wedding plans have taken a back seat. We really need to kick it into overdrive now!

Thanks!!! This weekend I'm going to try to take care of flowers and maybe (MAYBE) start making invitations. I've been thinking more and more about going with silk flowers for the bouquets. I've seen so many DIY things on here that look so pretty!

At Hobby Lobby they have these fake flowers in bouquets for weddings and they are heavy and look so real. They are a weird material, not just the paper kind of flowers. My bridesmaid’s bouquets were only like $40 each and that’s how much those fake bouquets are. The flower shop I went to is called Royal something. She said she could downsize anything to make it into your price range.

I'd be more likely to go to Michael's or something and grab some individual flowers and stick 'em together. If I'm going to spend that much, I'll just get real flowers. Maybe. Still deciding...silk requires no hassle or last minute anything.

My best friend from college who is also acting as my wedding planner (she is bossy, creative, and organized...triple whammy!!!) came over today so we could get things rolling again after the move. We finalized just about everything as far the order of events, and she really got me organized in terms of what I still need to do and by what dates I will do it by. <3 her! (Also very helping was Maroki13's to do list, thanks a TON!!) I'm going to a grad school interview (go me!!!) on February 16th, so that weekend we are going to make invitations, buy shoes, and her aunt offered to alter my dress for free. This same aunt is also doing our photography for free. <3 her too!! Between her, Casey, and I, we also decided to cancel Casey's tux rental because he just bought a $600 pinstripe suit that is super sharp and can wear that instead. We were also going to pay for the BM's tux because he was worried about money but since Casey wearing a suit, the BM will too. We just saved $300! SWEEEEEET...

Didn't used to be! I lived in Wisconsin last April-September. In fact, I realized I've lived in several of the states represented on here--Virginia, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Anybody from Maryland?
