Silk flowers?
I really want my wedding flower to be white and red tulips, but my wedding is in Kansas in December. I called a few florists yesterday and the cheapest I could find tulips was $5 PER STEM! Soooo I think I'm going to have to go with silk flowers, since I'm on a major budget! I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday, but they only carry the parrot tulips, and I don't really like them. Has anyone ordered silk flowers online before? I just wanted to buy them from somewhere I could see them first... But I found usiflowers.com, and they look like they've got some pretty nice ones...but they're online, so I won't know for sure what they look like until they get here. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi! I am also using silk flowers in my wedding because I love callas and for real callas per stem, it can get really expensive too. I am ordering my flowers off of a website called www.simplyclassiccreations.com the woman does WONDERFUL work, and the website is personalized and she does it all out of her home. Other brides have sent in photos of their bouquets and she special makes all her flowers, there really are no pre made bouquest or flowers. She specializes in callas, but she states on the website she can try and work with you to help you use other flowers that you really want. She also does auctions on ebay at her ebay store, and if you look at her feedback she has NO negative out of 300 and something members that did feedbacks. I am getting together with her now to help me with mine, but I just thought that would be a place to go online where you might feel comfortable ordering since you can see some pictures online already. Just a thought!!!!

Here are a few of the ones I checked out on line. I have to say both were wonderful with follow-up and both seemed to have absolutely gorgeous designs: www.angelsaccents.com and www.wiseweddingdesigns.com. Many on-line silk florists can send you (probably for a small fee, around $5) either a sample of a flower, say a rose or a calla lily, that you're interested in using, so you can see the quality.

I just want to say that if you really want real flowers and are willing to make your own boquets (or have someone that can do them).....then I used www.tulips.com
I was married in April so I did get field tulips, but they grow tulips year round in their green house...which is what the white tulips were (since they won't grow naturally)....anyways....we ordered 800 stems for about 60 cents a stem. I was terrified ordering tulips shipped to me from Washington state...but they were absolutely gorgeous!! I received so many compliments on the flowers...it was wonderful....
let me know if you have any more questions...you can see pictures of my bouquets by clicking the wedding pictures link below....
