Default What do you think of this dress idea- multi colors

I'm 99% sure this is what I'm going with.

Will you be using all of those colors? Or just some of them? How many attendants?

All my girls were different colors. I had a fall wedding. I had 6 girls, all in different colors. I think it is a great idea.

I'm a fan of more simple (muted) colors, my BMs were all in black, so if this is what you like - then go for it. Is it a Spring or Summer wedding?

I have mixed felings about it! It is both "too busy" and very effective at the same time!

I think it would be great for a spring wedding.

These colors definitely go together, as they are similar in hue and intensity. However, whether to use them together for one event depends on the look/feel you're going for.

If it's more of "elegant, classic and sophisticated" then these colors are too much. On the other hand, if it's "dramatic, contemporary, funky" then they would be perfect.

Remember, that the colors you choose will be used not just in what your ladies wear, but in your decor choices (florals, linens, napkins, cake accents . . .). I'm not saying that you have to every single one of these colors in your linens, napkins, etc., but they'll figure in somehow. Think about how the use of these colors will translate there as well. Will your rainbow of colors come together and look unified or mismatched?

How many attendants will you be having?

While the colors are beautiful, i personally think using all of them would be too much. It also depends on how many attendants, if its 3 or 4, that would be okay, but more than that might be too distracting.

I'm not sure I'd go for all of them... But it'd depend how big the wedding party is, and how big a wedding it'll be. It might be a bit overwhelming at a small wedding...

The main concern for me would be that this is the brides one chance to really shine. All eyes should be on you & how amazing you look that day.

Are you sure you want half the eyes in the room focusing on your bridesmaids jewel toned dresses instead?

As long as you can match the colors to the bridesmaids, i.e. try to find colors that look good on each of your girls, and still compliment what you are going for in your wedding as a whole, I say go for it.

I do kind of agree with Ann and Clair though, if there is too much going on it could be distacting, and take away from you.

I'm sure you can firgure a way to make it all work. Just remeber it is your, wedding, do what makes you happy and comfortable.

I counted 7 colors....do you have 7 BMs? More? Less?

I like many of the colors, and as wedbyjean said, if you are going for a "funky, contemporary" style wedding then I think it would definitely work.

However, I must say I agree with the other girls about the rainbow of colors possibly distracting from you and your dress on the wedding day. Maybe you could choose 2 or 3 colors and have BMs in those, or have MOH in one color and the rest of the BMs in another color? That way, you are incorporating multiple colors while keeping it relatively simple.

But in the end, it is your day and your decision! Let us know what you decide!!

I agree with the style of wedding that you are going for will affect whether you should go for this style. Funky-YES Elegant-NO
If youget a lot of different colored flowers to go with the colors of the dresses, then that would look really nice!! Have all the attendants have abouquet with flowers in each color and it will tie them in nicely together. The colors are very complimentary... Again, it may look out of place if elegant is what you are going for... do what your personality dictates!! Its your wedding, let the real you shine through!!

For some reason, the colors remind me of sherbert.... is that weird of me??

What you plan to do is currently the trend and it can look wonderful. Do use a mix of colors for the flowers and that will pull it all together. I like the intensity of the various colors - not overwhelming.
