Default DIY Invites

I will be having two different ceremonies and receptions one month apart. The two venues are over 1000 miles apart so we are doing two so everyone can come to the party that is closest to them. I want to do the invites only once. I will be putting all the information and different response cards to indicate which event they will attend. Everything will be colour coded and explained in the invite.
Do you think this will be too complicated or should I do two different sets of invites.

I dont think it would be a problem. Can you print half your invites for the one location and the others for the other half, that way just send your guests their respective invite.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "color-coded"... color coded for you to put them together or color-coded for hte guest to figure out which information applies to them?

I'm sure it would work out ok, but if you have any doubt about your guests getting confused, I would do separate invites. You don't want someone to make a hotel reservation in CA when they are attending the wedding in NJ! You really only want to have the information for ONE ceremony in each invitation sent.

We color coded our RSVP's as we had seperate ones for the wedding and reception.

It worked out well.

I'd definately print them and mail them seperately. Do the first set, mail. Then do the 2nd set and mail to reduce confusion and chance of mishaps.

I agree with the above If the codes are just for your use then it'll be fine, but as Breezy said, make sure you are enough of a control freak to keep them from getting mixed up!
