Default Finally!

I finally got an email from our photographer saying our wedding album is ready for collection!

Yeah, 7 months exactly since the wedding.

But it'll finally be over! We'll be able to show all the people who have been asking to see, and we won't have to wonder any more if we're ever going to get it...

Unfortunately the email also came with an invoice for £300 for all the extra photos we wanted included & for a large print for our guest signature frame. It would have been absoloutely fine if that bill had come in the summer when we were expecting it, but 3 weeks before Christmas? Who has about $500 to spare at Christmas time?!

(eta: for anyone who hasn't seen this is our album preview & the wedding was 5/5/6!)

Did your contract specify a time frame for you to get your photos? If so, and even if not, I'd see about negotiating a discount for the time it took. I'd be burning up just like you if that were me...

but yay that you can get it now!

I'm afraid there was no time frame set out in the contract. But he did say it's take about 4 weeks to get the proofs all in. Then another 4 weeks after we ordered all the photos. But it has definately taken longer than that

I'm so glad you finally getting your book. Sorry it came at a big time and that it's taken so long to get it.

Just in time to have it set out at your coffee table for the family gatherings! I have every intention of putting my album on the table for Christmas Eve when my family is here, hehe. I also made one of the shelves on the bookshelf in the living room a "wedding" shelf. I have my memory album on it, a wedding picture, and a book we received in the mail that has both of our family histories and other historical stuff in it. I'll have to get a good pic and post it....

sparklesweetie I did the same thing. I have a corner shelf that has all our wedding memories on it. I can't wait to be able to get a glass cabinet to display every thing in. Just don't have the room right now.

Ann I hope it turned out perfect!

It's perfect!!!

I took it up to my MIL's house first to earn some brownie points! She thought I had it already but that I just hadn't let her see I wonder how many other people thought I was just being rude

But yup. I've got it now, and the slideshows so everyone is getting tortured at Christmas!

applause

Forgot to say, we also finally got the print for our signature frame

I went with my mum's favourite photo...

(and excuse the flash! )

ETA: Something that has been bugging me... Eveyone reserved a space at the top of the frame for our two mum's messages... Just done out of politeness, no one actually asked for that...

But if you'll notice the pink highlighted bit, the date of one of the guys I used to work with in the bar decided that her message deserved to right between the two mums. Sure honey, your message needed centre spot

Yay for getting albums and your framed pic! I love that photo, it's beautiful, and the frame is great! Too bad about the annoying date's message that's bugging you!
