Well, when is the wedding?

My husband found his a couple of months before the wedding, from what I remember. If your fiance is renting, this should be fine.

I agree with Holly; maybe even a bit earlier than two months. This would get it out of the way. You could start looking in March or early April. Most places have plenty of tuxes available; the only time to worry is if your wedding coincides with something like a prom or the holidays, which it doesn't in your case. Also, make sure the groom and groomsmen try on their tuxes at the store when they pick them up for the wedding, to be sure there are no surprises!

I agree with them....My FH is looking into getting his tux in Feb. We are getting married in August, but the man we spoke with advised us that it is done on a first come first served basis. I personally felt he was trying to be funny when he said that. But who knows, with the way my luck is going with everything else, I am not going to wait. So if I were you, I'd start looking into it ASAP.

My husband almost gave me a heart attack during our wedding planning. He didn't pick out tuxes until less than a month before our wedding. His best man didn't even get sized until about 2 weeks before our wedding. Luckily, everything worked out okay, but still - I do NOT recommend waiting that long!

I planned my wedding in 3 weeks. My husband icked out his tux 2 weeks before the wedding and the bestman went down the week before the wedding to get sized.
I am now planning my brother-in-laws (my hubby's bestman from our wedding) wedding for Feb 28th. I was just hired to plan it as of yesterday. So I guess as far as when to look and pick out a tux would be up to you. I wouldn't go to far in advance but would not advise 2 weeks before the wedding either. LOL
Just shop around for quality and the best price for now. Get a place in mind and the like Holly or Ekaaj said "couple of months before the wedding". Guys tend to forget things so make sure you or your wedding planner keep up with what's going on with the grooms responsabilities.
Hope your wedding is beautiful!

Mikeysgirl:
My wedding is June 12th also. My FH is planning on renting his tux's in the next 2 weeks because we were told that for June weddings they should be rented early since there are alot of Proms and weddings going on in our area in that time frame. It is early, but we also have another thing out of the way early that we don't have to worry about nearer to the wedding. Good luck with your planning.
