Smile French-Canadian Traditions

Hi there,
This is a "postlude" to the earlier thread on French-Canadian traditions.
I have a specific question though. Are there any processions, or ceremonies that French-Canadians have during/after the wedding ceremony itself.
I am French-Canadian, from Northern Ontario, and aside from the sock dance and involving meat pie, sugar pie, maple syrup and poutine (okay maybe not the last one) in the menu, I don't know if there is a specific ceremony that exists.
For example, in Chinese/Vietnamese culture there is a Tea ceremony mostly held the morning of the wedding.
The reason why I ask is because, I would like to include something- other than food or that sock dance- into a post-wedding brunch to be held after our wedding overseas.
BTW. My sister is younger than me so the sock dance won't be appropriate anyways =) Although I did try and con her into it.
Any info is welcomed! Thank you!

I think you may have to do some research online! If you are getting married in a church in Ontario, perhaps they have a diocese ( or equivalent) in Quebec who may know.

I checked with my SIL and she knew of nothing, nor did her mother who is from the Gaspe.

Bonne chance!

Yes, I have to agree w/ you on that. I have been doing some sniffing around myself w/ my family members. Albeit regional, there is nothing else that pops out as "specific". Most French-Canadian weddings I've been to are very much like the North-American style.
Gapse? My dads family is from Gaspe. We still have relatives there. Thanks for your help!
